This number has called several times and I have never spoken to anyone. They either hang up immediately or there is no one there. Barred the call on my last mobile but I do not have that facility on this new one.

Yeah we get these about 3-4 times a week always when i answer they ask for the boss and when i say he not here they say they will try again. When he is here he tells them everytime we do not wanna sell the business, but still they keep phoning. Gonna try some of the ideas on here tho i just found the site by googling the phone number, gonna use it everytime i get a call now, so I know who they are before they tell me.

Get it once or twice a day, never answer is as never answer an unidentified or a clear sales number,  I just keep hitting reject and get on with my day, if it was urgent then they would leave a message....

As with others they hang-up most times when the call is answered!
Last night they even called at 7.15pm!!
Thanks to your info, I have just called them to have my number removed, hopefully they will now stop.

Was asked if they could speak to the owner. As I wasn't the owner, and they were not around, I asked who it was and where they were calling from and they would not tell me... saying it is confidential! the person was called Caroline. And the owner had never heard of them... so not sure what they wanted! Bit strange!

I asked them to hold the line while I put them through, they did and they listerned to the seagulls in scarborough for almost 2 hrs before hanging up, I was just about to ask them if they liked the sea side, oh well, better luck next time

I had the same trouble.Here is how i stopped it after weeks of me begging to be taken off the data base.
When they call or if you want you call them and arrange to see a "consultant".Then when he/she comes give him/her a card with your details on and tell them they are the contact details you want taken off their data base.You should have seen the guys face when i did this too him!!! It was worth it as his boss rang me telling me i was no longer on the list,in 4 weeks i have had nothing from them at all!!!!!!

I've been getting calls from these idiots about if I want to sell my business. When asked if they have thought about getting a proper job, they always reply that 'They have a proper job already.' Really!!!! I've sent them a mail threatening legal action if we receive any more calls from them, I also told them on their most recent call to us, that we would take action against them if they call again.

RTA are similar to SBS (now thankfully gone bust). They will arrange to value your business, which they will MASSIVELY over value, using blather like 'we've got a different method to Christie or Colliers Robert Barry so we can get more' don't believe it, it is a lie. They will then take a marketing contribution of about a grand. Then nothing will happen, then you'll get annoyed and find out and try to sack them whereupon they will invoice you for their projected total fee and threaten to sue if you don't pay. It is a well known practice but trade magazines will not investigate as they are major advertisers. The innocent and unwary are victims and these sh**s (i mean 'sharks' there obviously) clean up. AVOID AVOID.

Phoned RTA, they have removed my number....mmmmm we will see!

i got a call from this number and they just hung up so i typed the number in google to see what company this is and i found a number of sites like this!
why are they hanging up??

Persistant calls from these people all asking to speak to the business owner and not wanting to leave a message. I will have to think of some witty things to say and waste their time as from the above posts it is obviously pointless asking to be removed from their database.

company called RTA 'trying' to buy businesses - all a scam !

Received a call from this number on my mobile but they hung up as soon as I answered and gave our company name.  Initially I assumed it was someone wanting to contact me as an individual but was put off by my answering as a company...

why is this number calling me!!

These people are really starting to p me off. Calls on a Sunday, day and night. Again Monday. Do I want to sell my business? Have asked them to stop calling and now when they do just put them on hold.
