They rang me (again) yesterday. When I told the caller that I'd complain to the TPS he rang off immediately. My complaint has been submitted, but I don't expect much action.

Keep getting cold calls these guys woke me up at 08.44 this morning,so now when i answer my phone i don't speak .....they soon hang up,i don't and leave my phone on the side to block then for a couple of hours.

I have been getting calls like these regularly (minimum 3 times a week, maximum 3 times a day) for over 5yrs since I moved to this address. They always ask for Mrs Frazer, I have no idea who that is. I just don't even like to answer my phone during daytime hours anymore, I don't have nor can I afford caller ID.   WTF can I do that will seriously stop this invasion and not just get me put on another list? Maybe I need to lose my landline completely?

Got  a call today from this number asking for someone who does not live here. The number is TPS registered since I had it. However I have had several calls for the previous "owner" of the number all asked for him by name and when I first got the line in from BT there was even a voicemail on there for him too :-/

Nationwide energy services hard sell
I had a salesman at the door today from Nationwide Energy Services, who told me that he needed to look at my 79 years old step fathers loft insulation. I answered the door as my mother had died 6 days previously and i was caring for my step father who has great difficulty moving very far or fast.
When i told the salesman i was not interested he told me i had no choice as it was a legal requirement. I told him i cant believe it a legal requirement and to show me proof and he wasnt gaining access to the loft . He went on to tell me he would return again until he did get access, with a warrant if needed. If i still refused to allow access a fine would be imposed. I again refused and he then spoke quite agressively to stress he would return again every day until he did look at the loft. At this point i told him to leave my doorstep but he refused at which point i stressed my point agressively and finally he got the message . .
If my step father opened the door he would have let them in and signed up or paid what ever was asked. I feel the selling techinique was over the top and many people who can be intimidated would have given access.
I called the police who attended and spoke to all 4 sales persons in the street and took their details . After this the sales team left the area

sick of this number phoning..got my name wrong though so they became very confused..the caller had a welsh accent..think it was the energy company..totally unacceptable I am registered not to get marketing calls..this block service doesnt work..waste of time..

TPS isnt sorting this out I get just as many as before I registered..we need a block button on phones..

Hi if you don't wish to recieve these calls on your mobile then install an app called Mr number which blocks calls and txts all you have to do is set it up to block 0845 numbers and bingo.

I just had a call from this number today.  Makes a change from Indian callers claiming there's something wrong with your computer!

I just said "I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service.  Goodbye!" and put the phone down.  The man just had time to say he was from some energy company or other (didn't really listen, but it has to be this company).

I live quite near Swansea, maybe it would be a good idea to pay them a visit in person to complain!

"Dear Nationwide Energy

I had a telemarketing call today from someone who claims to be your representative (from telephone number 0845 1113111).  As I am registered with the Telephone Preference Service you are acting illegally.

On doing some research I found that you have been harrassing people in this way (many of us TPS registered) at least since 2010, and even knocking on doors and refusing to leave (at least one person I know of was forced to call the police to get rid of them!).

If I get any more of these calls I will take this complaint further!"

tell them your loft is converted they cant insulate it then :) it worked for me

had a few of these silenced calls i just dont answer them but appareicate not everyone has caller id

they sound ruthless and should be stopped

There are two ways to get Caller ID from BT; either you can pay for it, or you can have it as part of "privacy at home" which is free of charge.

Just got a call from this number, didn't answer as didn't recognize number. Googled it instead. Won't answer call in future.E7

From now on I will take the opportunity to test my smoke alarm when I receive these calls (with the phone in close proximity to give the caller the pleasure of seeing if it works OK)

After being constantly called from this number and being unable to remove my phone number from their database, I've started to spam their website enquiry form so that every day they have to filter through spam to find genuine enquiries. Which will cost them both money and time.

I don't advocate people being rude to the company, but this business are deliberately causing people grief so it's about time they took the pill. And it will only take you a few minutes.

I had a phone call from this company about half an hour ago calling themselves Grant Advisers Uk. Told them I was TPS reg but they could not care less. These calls really infuruate me and now I report them on the TPS website. I was also reading other peeps comments on here so phoned them on their 0800 number and wasted over 5 minutes of their time without giving them any information from me! WHat fun!!!!!
