I have been receiving constant phone calls from these people. They sound very plausible, but it is just a scam. They want your credit card details so thay can take 50 quid per month for the next four months plus a £75 pound up front fee. I had read about DWS claims before, so its up to you how you play them. I told the guy a load of  bull and kept him talking for 20 minutes and then hung up.  He knew about all the comments on this website and  tried to fob of the complaints so any approving comments are probably from them.

Bottom line...do not give personal details to anybody who asks you for them on the phone and certainy don't pay anything up front.

My sister, aged 81, had a call from these people telling her she was entitled to claim from her credit card company for increasing her credit limit without her agreement.  Unfortunately she gave her credit card details but when the agreement forms arrived for her to sign she thought that in case it was a scam she would return the forms unsigned with a covering a letter to say that she did not want to proceed with her claim.  She received a reply from them dated 2 March to say that her £250 deposit would be refunded within 14 days, to date this has not happened.  I advised her to cancel her credit card to make sure no further money was taken. Her latest credit card statement shows two transactions in euros which is the equivalent of £250 (reference against each transaction is RAMJAM).  Today I telephoned them on her behalf as she is very stressed about having to pay this amount of money to her credit card company, I spoke to someone calling himself Liam (said for security reasons they don't provide surnames).  He apologised for the delay in refunding the £250 but he would get onto the admin department to refund the money asap.  Maybe I should just contact the Fraud Squad without waiting to see if they keep their word.

    Hi,
Just had a call from DWS this evening saying they would get me money back from my credit cards, mortgage, etc. She asked me for my credit card details, as she needed to take £275.00 before she could start looking in to my claim.  She was so convincing that I gave her my credit card details.  I've sinced cancelled the transaction after reading comments about the company.  Lucky for me the company have not taken any money from my credit card.  My card company have now put a block on my card and are sending me a new one.  I can't believe how stupid I have been today.

    Hi there
I did the same in February and agreed to go ahead with it they took my £250 in Feb.  I got cold feet as thought they were a bunch of rogues.  I called back to cancel the same day they said no problem I received a letter telling me they would refund the £250 that I had paid within 14 days.  It is now the 3rd May and I have made 6 phone calls chasing for my refund with no success.  I have now contacted the citizens advice bureau who put me onto the Ministry of Justice as this is who regulates them.  They are now investigating on my behalf.  I am exasperated.

A letter d/d 21.12.2010 from free&easy ("following your recent mail order purchase" which I knew hadn't happened),offering a 30-day FREE trial in one of the luxury resorts featured in the Freeneasy brochure & worth approximately £600 per week, on completion of which we wicrll process your debit/credit card details for payment of the annual fee £99.99".   Knowing that I hadn't dealt with the firm, & having faith in my bank's credit card system, I ignored their letter.
However, I subsequently received a credit card statement d/d 27.1.2011 from my bank, & it was 1.4.2011 before they sent a statement showing a nil balance.
Today my wife received a phone call from DWS Claims who offered to try & get some compensation on her credit card.   Unfortunately for them, my wife doesn't have a credit card!
I very much appreciate your efforts against these fraudsters, but surely there are organizations whos job it is to deal with these scamsters.
    More power to your elbow.
