Several calls this past yr. I have repeatedly told them I wouldn't pay for the Times (nor any other Murdoch rag).   Called today- call centre noise and a grunt before they hung up. Times wasters!

This number has called a few time in the last few days.  When we answer there's background noise but no-one speaks.  Is that not illegal?

They called me last week Wednesday and again today.
I stupidly called the number back as I was expecting a call from a delivery company!!

A recorded message mentioned something about being called by some advertising company.  I hung up straight away though as I was paranoid of high costs!!

I have received calls in the past from company's trying to sell me subscriptions to newspapers.  Think it was the Times!

Got a call from this number three times now. How are you supposed to stop it. Really bugging me.

The phone number for the times subscription department is 0800 854 547, option 2 is to talk to an agent. If you've got a few spare moments, why don't you all ring this phone number which will cost them money, press option 2 wait till someone answers, say nothing then wait for them to put the phone down having wasted their time and money.

Call centre noise; someone's voice speaking unintelligibly to someone else; then line drops. I am a Times subscriber so they already have my number. Will see if they call back.

Got a call from this number today asking to speak to my wife about a subscription to the Times. I buy this paper daily. Offered a very special price for a 3 month voucher subscription which had to be set up by direct debit. I advised caller that I do not give out any bank details to cold callers due to the obvious risk of fraud. This caller advised me that there was no risk due to bank guarantees for direct debits.  I obviously disagreed. This appears to be either a poorly thought out marketing campaign by the Times publishers or a deliberate attempt at fraud. The fact that I obtained the callers number from 1471 might indicate the former but it is not impossible to clone telephone numbers. I have written to the Times to ask if they were aware of this campaign or whether the call should be reported to the police.

In my opinion, anyone who gives bank details to a cold caller is an idiot.

also called and hunged up, its the Times News paper, think they hungeed up be the house phone is registared with T.P.S telephone preference service.

glad I didnt answer this call as i had just sat down to tea.got the number by dialling 1471 just in case it was important, even though they left no message.

My partner has had a number of calls from this number, all about him getting the Times delivered at face price. He's not interested.

Yes, its The Times I did a 3 month cheap deal trial and they are ringing me every other day now!

3 times I recieved a call from this number, I do not recognise it & it is not in my directory on my mobile, I do not answer to cold callers but want to know who the hell it is. I answered an unknown number b4 and every time I topped up the money was zapped from my phone..... won't be falling for that one again.

I had a missed call and a voice message of this number, the voice message was very loud and a man repeatingly said 'Hello?' Strangeeeeee!!

asked to speak to raoul moat, and they were calling from the times, i said are you taking the piss

They called 10/11 at 10.46 and hung up when I answered. Its probably Daily Mail Wine Club as they have called previously.
