caller actually displayed as 0448452863025, ie calling outside UK, is this a new scam being perpetrated, I am exdir and telephonepreference activated so should not be getting this rubbish

Just had the 4th call from this number in the last 2 weeks, the 1st 3 calls I've missed so this time I went to answer but went dead as I picked up! After looking on here I shall be ignoring it from now on.

So many silent calls from this number. I thought the Sunday Times was a reputable Company?

Definitely Times Newspaper - re. joining offer.  Rcd call from them this morning as I was going to a meeting.

This number has called me at varying times of the day and evening and I have no knowledge of who they are.

Three missed calls, no voice mail ! If this is the Times, then OFTEL have my complaint.

Called them back on a landline and a answer machine states it is the Times newspaper calling for a promotion. You can leave you name and number on the answer machine and they will delete you from their records within 48 hours but you never know if it is them.

Suggest you either ignore the calls or leave a message on the answer machine.

Thanks for that. As I can't afford a newspaper nowadays I'll ignore them. I hate cold callers. Why can't people be left in peace?

there is a '+' before the number and if you call back the number isn't recognised.

therefore, could it be a number clone?  thus a scam.  call thousands of people each day and they're bound to make a few sales

I've had a few calls from this number. It is the Times - trying to get you to take the Newspaper. Even having told them in no uncertain terms I am NOT interested, they still continue to call. Highly annoying, and if I wasnt interested in their product before, you can imagine how I feel about them now........
