I keep getting late and early calls, why dont they leave an answer phone message?  Nuisance caller.

just had a call it isnt the sms service... thats a different number if u bother to text urself a text ull see the number is different if u dial 1471 from the nuisance caller

got a call this evening from 08456021111 and it said press1 to hear ur message it then said thanks for donating £3 to the BNP if u know anyone else who would like to donate give them this number if this appears on my phone bill im gonna blow a fuse

call from sms message. message was correct, unknown why they do not leave message on house phone instead of this silly message line. call message was from nottingham city home repairs, was genuine, have a repair booked for wednesday morning.

mani hate those msgz their jus so biast lol....nywaes i had a kol once from my dude man o man was i pissed off but i guess da whole point of it iz jus to deliver msgz its ayt at times but hey...loll

Its one of those BT SMS messaging systems. If someone sends a text to your number, the service will read it out to you - I don't know the cost though :o(

sms text service accidently sent to a landline .....

15 calls in one day!!!!  really annoying me now...who are they?!!

Computer generated voice claimed to be message from Mike at something like makenzielaw.co.uk saying please call 01563556530 urgently quoting 12 digit ref no. I have never given this land line number to anyone so must be a fishing expedition

tired of receiving calls from 08456021111 when answered the line goes dead.1471 get the number ring it back and given a mobile no. to ring.  After reading comments on this forum rang BT to complain - very aloof - yes she knew it was a BT messaging service & would pass on my complaints - didn't tell me that I could cancel this nuisance by ringing 0800 587 5252 press 1 and then 5.  This service will be cancelled within 20 minutes.
Bravo BT but wouldn't it have been a good idea to tell me this BT messaging service was available on my land line in the first place and secondly tell me I could cancel it by ringing the 0800 number
what a way for BT to make money! it means that all messages taken this way will be charged to the land line when you call the number back whether it be a genuine message left or just a scam call at god knows what cost per minute.
come on BT play fair.

This number has called me 15 times today.

Had this number 3 times tonight between 19:20 & 20:00. Thank god for caller ID, I don't answer any unknown callers!!!!

We had a call from this number tonight and didn't know whether to trust it, but phoned it after reading these messages.  It was a text that had been sent in error to our landline.  Don't know how much it will cost, not very clear which is bad and think BT should have this number listed when you search so that you know what it is.  Wouldn't trust spammers not to use it though so don't reply to any other numbers.

ring 08456021111 and as soon as you start hearing the pre recorded woman announce its bt text messaging service press 3, saves time and deletes all messages.  flaxvert

I've just been called by this number - it was a text message from Sky to say my broadband was now live.

5 Calls this morning from this number, 3 yesturday.
I never answer them or try ringing the number.  There are three numbers like this that ring my phone every day of the week.  I even had a call at 9:05 on sunday morning.
These things are a nuisance and I hate the sound of the landline ringing!

Its a BT SMS recieved call.. you get it when someone txts to ur house number
