If like me you are being bombarded every 15 Minutes by calls from this number.

It's either BT or Virgin media's SMS to voice service.

Opt out of it by using the 08005875252  option 1 followed by option 5.

My thoughts you should have to OPT IN to get these services not the other way around.

Rang me at 0710 approx this morning on my land  number which is x-directory - with the answer phone saying that there was  a  text message for me.  No message received.  What's going on?  I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) that should block these calls.

Cannot find who the sender was and I'm not happy about it - if your reading this - don't send anymore - if you cannot correspond by word of mouth I'm not interested.

how do i retrieve a message from this as i wasnt given the option to save and when i called the 0845 number back it stated i didnt have any messages

Yes this is probaly a scam if it was a moter offence they would use post listen 2 the message phone number that sent it if its a scamer n the phone number isnt dvla or police then u might want 2 tell police

What a joke, i got called at 11:55 pm ish this evening on my home phone and it was a text, my mum picked up and it said "I can see you Georgia"  to which i was like nice one who the hell has done this... and presumed it was a friend then i 1471-ed it and it was 08456021111 ?!!? i dont know whats going on :L

this number calls often saying it is delivering a text message. there is not text message, they should be stopped. 08456021111

This has been mentioned earlier but if you are like me and jumped to the end you might have missed it. It doesn't matter which telephone provider you are with, if you are getting these messages you can call 0800 587 5252 to get them stopped

Idiots. It's from BT saying you have been sent an SMS (text) message from a moile phone.

Got a call at 9pm - didn't answer as we have caller ID and I thought it may be a sales call. Rang it back and it is a text store service from BT - just my husband texting our landline number to say goodnight! Not a scam so don't worry. :o)

This has gotten rediculous for me, at 8:30,8.40 this morning, throughout the day numerous times, the wife has kept track. over 25 times in less than a week. So i got curious and phoned back tonight 6:30pm. As stated above this is a BT SMS Service but i had no messages waiting for me????? Why is it calling my house after 10pm. or even 9pm if a BUSINESS to tell me i had no messages. Complete Joke. I have followed as advised by Baz and a few others early on in here and called 0845 587 5252, OPT 1 then 5. 20 mins for the service to be cancelled. Hope it works. will be keeping track and post with my results next week. sorry for the long post, and name too.

Received call from this number today, message said we had a text message from .........
I went on google and found this page. Decided to send a text from my mobile to my home phone and received a call from 07953 966 066 that said I had been sent a message. It then told me what the message was, so I am a bit inclined to think that this 0845 number is some kind of scam. Try sending yourself a text and see who you receive a message from. I don't know if this is relevant, but I haver a BT phone line and am X directory.

this number called tonight at 18.33 , sms message, who actually pays for these calls , us if we accept them or the caller? & who is this?

having been getting these calls, wakening the whole house 5.50am not amused, have rang the bt 0800 to get stopped, hope they do stop. Also called virgin my telephone provider who were so unhelpful. Only way they could bar the call was if i paid to have it done, bloody cheek my no is x directory

What makes you think they are idiots.  Why all the mystery?  Simply answer the phone like a normal person.

Its When A SMS TxT Is Sent Via BT Network, Ive Recieved 11 Calls From This 0845 602 1111 And Turned Out It Was From The Company Delivering My New Kitchen

I've just turned it off after several unanswered calls this morning.  My friends and family all know my mobile number and would use that if they wanted to send me a text but they are more likely to ring me first.  

It might be useful but it couId also be another tool for the spammers/scammers.

I can't see that any legitimate business would be calling on a Sunday morning.
