- Christina CrichtonI pressed the option 1 then had second thoughts. Have I been charged for this call? If so I shall not be pleased. I pay for 0845 numbers but by telephone package gives me local and national calls free. How can I find out if I have been charged and how can I claim a refund as I was not informed that, if appropriate, a charge is involved?
No more voice texts please - christina@cjcrichton.plus.com- Caller: BT
- AnnoyedOnly 1 person and my telephone provider has my number. I'm not with BT, so how can it be a BT service? At the same time I got a text on my mobile with some spam rubbish saying 'oh my God I just won 1000 playing this game' then a link to something I wont even dare open.
It annoys me more as I work shifts, and it woke me up, so I'm sitting here fuming as I know its a scam and wondering how the heck they got hold of my number when I'm x directory and only 1 person has it. - Miss C HullI received a call at 09:50pm!!
3 rings and it went off - I dialed 1471 to find the number.
OUTRAGOUS!!!
Glad I didn't call it back!- Caller: Talktalk
- m shieldsgot a call today, didnt answer it came up on 121 and it just went to you have no messages, wierd
- JuJuJust had 2 phone calls from the number 08456 021111 checked this website out before calling it back, and it is legit, it was the BT text message service with a text message from my grandma (shes useless and always sends them to the house number instead of my mobile). Im not with BT so it obviously doesnt matter who your service provider is, you can still receive the messages.
- SimonI just got a BT text message call though I'm on a Virgin Media landline. I checked Virgin Medias website and it gives the same number to call (ie 0800 587 5252) to change BT text options. The current option is to press key 1 to change the "opt out curfew" time and then press key 5 to opt out altogether.

- diehard_thIt's exactly as most people say. BT SMS text message store. Just picked up a message from a friend sent a text to my landline accidently. I appreciate it could be annoying at late hours but just turn the facility off. Nothing sinister, you people are very insecure :)
- JulietHave been receiving calls from this number all day, very reluctant to answer after havin anonymous calls in the past but after reading ur comments will answer nxt call and c wot happens, after all I can always dial 0800..... or just pull out plug!!
- BazzerText message on Virgin phone line. Luv text asking you to send it to another 6 people*!*!*!*
- KyonIt appears BT do the SMS delivery for the other landline networks too, which is why those of you on Virgin are also getting this.
On the flip-side, SMS messages sent from T-Mobile to landlines go a different way, not through BT's system (unless that has changed recently) but instead T-Mobile's own delivery system.- Caller: BT SMS Delivery
- AnonCalled non-stop every 2 hours through Saturday and Sunday. Very strange!
- MartinHad this call three times now, each time it is a message from BT broadband telling me the equipment and broadband package I ordered will be delivered on August 19th.
The problem is that I have never ordered BT Broadband and have already started a new 12 month contract with the ISP I have had since the Internet began.
BT is really upsetting me with these. My sleep has been disturbed every time now and phone calls to BT Broadband asking them to stop these fake texts have resulted in yet more calls that I do not want.- Caller: BT Broadband
- gloryerdont know who the call was from or why thet sent it to my phone
- kamii keep getting this number all the timw so i put it into google and this page came up. I tried getting the message from it but nothing happened. I think it's best to ignore it. If something really important happens, it'll be my mobile that will ring
- JaneI rang it and had a message from bt asking me to call them about my bt account. When I rang BT they said they hadn't left me no messgae. I don't know what thats about.
- Jamesonthis is BT's call message thing - if someone sends a txt to your landline it holds it an gives you a call - you can call it back from your landline and it will read the message back to you
- Caller: BT
- jpmI get called every half hour from this number 08456021111 i cant see how it is from bt because i changed over to southern talk 3 months ago. I only have my broadband with bt until my 12 months is up.
- AngThis number has been phoning for a while on and off. It called me twice tonight since 9.00pm the last time being 9.50pm. I was really cross by now and phoned BT to block the number. BT advised it was a genuine number advising me that a text had been sent to my landline phone. It costs 2p per minute to retrieve the messages. BT gave me a number to call which will allow me to set/adjust options with regard to if, how and when I receive calls from this 0845 number......here goes....

- PATMy mum
has been getting calls from this number for at least 5 weeks now the latest being two calls this evening. My mum did call this number back only once last week as it had left her a message saying "Mum call me quick please" of course this worried the life out of her, but of course it was a scam... Do not call these back. We have let the telephone provider know about this so hopefully the calls will stop.
