- LJI just got same call, I didnt follow the instruction at first - I checked with Lloydstsb first and they said it was genuine so I called the number back. After listening to the automated service I was put through to fraud dept as someone had been using my card details in some shops. They confirmed the legitimate and fraudulent transactions over the phone and advised me to destroy my card. I will be sent a new card out in the post.
- radhasreeThere was a call on my home telephone no., but normally they call me on mobile.
Someone else picked up the phone and he could not understand what the person exactly was asking for. He only could tell it's something about Credit....- Caller: not recognised
- RMJIt is definitely genuine - they knew all the transactions I had made and were just checking that they were made by me.
They don't ask you to enter any bank details because it is genuine.- Caller: Lloyds TSB
- jabThis number kept calling my father who is rather hard of hearing and he couldn't work out what was going on. It upset him and frightened him as he is now elderly and living on his own. The call centre staff were very rude when I tried to explain. These type of calls should be discontinued to elderly customers. If a check needs to be made altenative arrangements should be in place and a password set up with a relative.
- Caller: lloyds

- RRThis number is Lloyds TSB credit card fraud protection -- an automated system that calls you to confirm suspicious transactions. The system matches your caller ID with the number they dialled in the first place. The computer voice will next ask you to select your date of birth from 4 choices and then proceed to read off a few transactions -- info includes the time, date, name and location of the party trying to charge you. You just confirm or reject transactions. Genuine Lloyds TSB.

- Matt CCalled both my landline and my mobile, after checking on here I rang back. Asked me DOB questions then rattled off my last 5 transactions - I'd bought several books online from across the atlantic over amazon, but as this came as several different transactions they got suspicious I guess.
- SarahThis is really from Lloystsb, they left a message asking to call back, so i did, when you call the number it ask you to input the number they had called you on, then it ask you to confirm your dob, with the dob it gives several dates and you need to put out the right one, then it tells you if you have made the following transactions, listing recent transaction, and if you dont to hold on and you get to speak to a real person from Lloydstsb.
I spoke with them, I used my credit card on line to pay a bill last week, btu ieven though I went through a secure website, a fraudster still got hold of my cards detail, they made a cone, and this morning they managed to obtain £2 through a cash withdrawal, this amount would have been greater if Lloydstsb didnt spot the unusual transaction, I would never make a cash advance on my credit card for £2, how ridiculous is that, but this is how the fraudsters work, they do a small transaction first, to see if the cone card works, then they go in for the kill. Thank Lloydstsb as they have now blocked my card, and are sending me a new card. Damn these fraudsters. - jdanswered phone and caller hung up

It said the call was for a name of a person who does not and to my knowledge never has lived at my address. I pressed a key and then it went dead. Reassuring to hear others comments.

- TSB CardholderThis system left several silent messages on one number at 9.35, 12.56, 2.16 and 3.53.
Also phoned another number and asked for my year of birth that I gave then asked for the month and day of birth. Too much information so I phoned them back. Several small transactions had gone through so I said I would check this.
A single online amazon transaction for four books was broken into different tranactions for market place. First two went through and the third was blocked.
Phoned back to say the trasactions were genuine and ask the block should be removed and asked how to avoid this problem in future. I was told the block would not happen again for 30 days. However I was phoned again by the system later that day and when I spoke to the agent he said there was a 'falcon' on the card. He had a record of my previous two calls to them and said that they had not removed the block so he did. Then resubmitted the blocked transaction to amazon which requires re-entering the card details even though they havn't changed.- Caller: Lloyds TSB
