I had a call this morning, was a bit dubious as it was an automated call explaining that there had been transactions on my account.  I had to verify this by pressing a number.  I confirmed I had not made any transactions and LLoyds TSB explained the situation and cancelled my cards. Genuine call, excellent service Lloyds TSB.

These are calls from First Alert which Lloyds TSB uses for credit card fraud warnings.  Very suspicious (and worrying) phone messages but eventually checked out as genuine. Agent was able to confirm details and 'test' purchases had been made on my card

I also received a 4 calls from this number, spoke to Lloyds TSB and this number is not known by them, ignore this call!

This number is ok if you get throught to the correct person at lloyds they will confirm that it is genuine.

My wife and I do a lot of shopping online and every so often we use a new site and they block it and call us to confirm it is us using the card.

a great service but a little anoying especially when you have gone to the city centre to do your christmas shopping and get stuck in debemhams waiting for them to call to reactivate your card.

Just had a call from 08456 031754/5 which I didnt answer as I was at work. I googled the number and found this site which stated that the number is for the Fraud Dept of Lloyds TSB.

I contacted Lloyds on their Customer Services number 08453 000 000 and spoke to one of their advisors. She checked my account for any suspicious activity.....of which there was none (so far). I mentioned to her that I had received a call from 08456 031754 and asked whether this was a genuine Lloyds number.....YES IT IS!

It is an automated service, which asks for your DOB and then will run through the last 5 transactions (amount and type of purchase) and whether they were made by you. At no point does it ask for your account number or any other personal info apart from DOB.

Worthwhile to call TSB Customer Services if you are unsure (",)

I got home tonight and had a message from them asking for a name I can't understand.I do not have a Lloyd's TSB account and have never had a Lloyd's TSB account.I am the only person who has had my phone number.

This is a genuine call.....they called me last week I wouldn't give them the info they wanted over the phone so they told me to phone the number on the back of my debit card. I got through to them and they told me that someone had bought some stuff using my card and asked if it was me...it wasn't to cut it short they cancelled my card and I received a new one yesteray.

I got a call asking me to press a number to continue the call.  I put the phone down as it was automated, and I do not trust these calls. was a foreign accent, which did not help.

I've been getting calls from this number for a few days but for someone who doesn't live here.

Did some chekcing on line and the number seems to be genuinely Lloyds fraud preventation as the message says so the last time they contacted me i pressed the appropriate numbers which corresponded with the options for i dont know the guy he doesn't live here!

This number rang our landline this morning but we saw 08... and we never answer any of those without checking here first. Strange thing is, we don't and never have had any business at all with Lloyds TSB!!

Don't ignore these calls, although I normally hate auto/robot calls requesting you 'press any key' this 0845 no. is a genuine Lloyds TSB anti-fraud dept.  
You will not be asked for any sensitive or card related details - just date of birth and to confirm the Tele.No (which they give you).
They then read out some recent Credit Card tranactions and again ask you to confirm if you are happy with them, if not (as in my case) you will be put through to an assistant who will repeat the transactions in question (normally these have NOT been debited to your card) and advise of the cancellation of your card a new card on it's way.
Unsure though what would have happened if I had not rung up to confirm the £900 online transaction was not mine .............................

I received a call but luckily was driving so didn't pick it up.

Thanks for running this site. I dialled 1471 after accidentally deleting a message I hadn't heard, and got the 0845 603 1754 number. When I heard the message I thought it was a scam. I googled the number, found this site and then did return the call -- luckily, as I discovered my card had been blocked!

A dont bank with loyds and never have so they wouldnt know anything bout wat bank i bank with etc

I'm pretty sure 08456031754 is Lloyds, but they should know better. Silent call backs, an automated system asking me to identify my birth year and then enter the rest of my DOB under the guise of identifying me....isn't this exactly what fraud departments in banks tell us never to do? I've been called twice already today, until they put a real person on the phone (who's passes MY identity checks!) I'm telling them nothing.

I dont even have an account with lloyds, don't quite understand why the fraud prevention team are calling me??

got message from same number to night telling me to prevent fraud ring the above number said from tsb i rang tsb fraud and they had no such mumber listed and would investigate dont reply phone back its some sort of scam sounds like.

Also was pestered with 15 of these calls over the last 2 days. Stated they were Lloyds TSB fraud and also stated name on account.
Lloyds have not heard of them. They also use another number : 08453510193
Both are only activated when you answer otherwise it is a silent call.
