i answered and said hello and they hung up! very annoying!

2nd call today from this number, they just ring and hold on the line silently and then hang up.

Keeps calling my home number never leaves a message and does not answer when call returned

Called me; didn`t leave a message dialed 1471-3 to ring back no one picked up,
so decided to check online, wow!!!

called me and repeated me when i said "hello"....then muttered "if i get one more Asian person...." and hung up before i could hear the rest. I'm not even Asian, so I called back the number and there was no response. i have a feeling in some way or another the recipients of the call (us) are being charged, there seems to be no logic or purpose for the call.

they call me three times aday and just say hello and hang up, its not just BT becoz i'm on talktalk

They called my wife about selling Security equipment.  My wife politely declined the requirement and then they just hung up without a courteous thank you or have a nice evening, I think that is ludicrously rude.

and to top it I try to bar these calls and apparently telephone companies cannot do this, and they cannot even tell you which company called using that number, we are in an era of cutting edge technology and what appears to be a most basic concept, i.e. traceability, it cannot be done  -  I bet you MI5 can do it!!!

Called asked if it was (my name, slightly wrong) when i said no asked if i was the homeowner when i said no and asked who was calling they refused to say who it was then hung up.
