Recieved 3 calls this week, it is now the 9th June. Never leaves a message and I just decided to try look into it... glad I did.

return call says disconnected, no one speaks when answered

Yep got one of these today, so they're still trying it on

they called today I called back to see who it was they are going under WA PCYC. No Idea if this is a scam or not but I Never give any money over the phone any how

Have had this number ring a few times too!  No message left.  But after what's been said I'm not calling it back!

Received a call from this number an hour ago, only rang a couple of times & I didn't get to answer in time. I don't have caller ID but used *10# to find origin of the call. After googling the number and finding this thread, I tried calling and received a recorded message along the lines of "this is WA PCYC, for enquiries call 1300 265 162"

Further to my above entry, I searched the 'information' number  (1300 265 162) and found it on WA PCYC website. It is a number given to purchase raffle tickets. It seems legit but I am firmly against this method of selling or asking for money. It is electronic home invasion.

Just had a call from this number.  Lady asked for Mr or Mrs Singleton, when I asked what number she was trying to reach she just hung up.
Annoying.

Called today asking for myself or husband but it sounded suspicious so I hung up.

Number called me today when I was out - I called back the number and a recorded message said it was from the 'WA PCYC Fundraising Committee' .... PCYC = Police and Citizens Youth Club?

OK, after posting this number in January I am still getting regular calls from them.
Went to the linked website given in a later posting and copied the information for contact numbers and emails.  Hope this helps people here:

I get more calls like this, than real calls. And as a shift worker, am getting very tired of it all. They are soon going to get a very rude answer from me.

This a VOIP service which might be why when you call it back it appears disconnected. You cannot block this type of service from calling a fixed line. Best way to deal with it is call the charity directly (Like all charities as they don't fall under the DNCR) and ask to be removed from their list. You might get silent calls or hang up calls from this number as, like a lot of telemarketing groups, they use predictive dialling machines to make the outbound calls which are programmed to disconnect the call if no operator is available or if it hears music in the background.

I missed a call from this number this morning .. from now on i will just ignore it i think .. thank goodness for caller ID

When I called back was a recorded message saying raising money for PCYC same when it rings hangs up a few times a day

this umber has called a number of times and does not leave a message. previous comments on this page indicate that this is possibly a scam of some sort. I have heard of cases where people call home to see when people are there or not so that they can be targeted for break ins.

Charity call. Wouldn't elaborate so no $'s from me!

08 6444 4816 just phoned me and it's the WA Police and Citizens Youth Club, it's a legit charity...I didn't donate, but at least it's legit.

i had this number call asking for my mum or my dad... they said they were going to call back later so im going to give them a piece of my mind

I have been receiving phone calls from 08 64444816 for days even weeks now,  called 9361 6022 and told them to remove my number from their register and not call me again.  They reacon that they were raising money for street kids.  Dont believe this is the case.
