Kept getting calls from this number and they stop after 2-3 rings. They never leave any message, so I set my mobile phone to screen calls from this number. That way I will not get my phone ringing if they call. As I live in Victoria Park,WA I know where that street is and I will try to find out what these scumbags are.

They just called me saying they were from the WA police commission or something and they're trying to stop kids from taking drugs or alcohol and that there was a $20,000 cash prize. The only catch was they need a postal address and payment details. I said no and they replied with whatever and hung up so there you go I think it telemarketing.

Also adding onto mine. I'm on a mobile not a landline so I don't understand how they could have possibly found me in the white pages.

Yes, i'm in Qld and this number has called my mobile 4 times in the last 24 hours. The earliest call was 8.00am in the morning and the latest call was 9.30pm at night. They never leave a message and when you return their call - the number is disconnected.

they call me on my mobile also - and i'm not listed either. Thanks telstra for selling my number to these pests!

yeh same here. i rang that number and told them about this page, and asked them why they use a number that cannot be called. he was a very polite old man but didn't seem to think anything was wrong. said he will remove my number.

Phone companies don't necessarily "on sell" your number.  The scammers use programs that auto-dial, they would just start at (e.g) 0417 and dial numbers.  When they get a hit (success!) they move you to a different list and on sell it as "live numbers".  I have many years experience at a telco answering this very same sort of question.  Same with home numbers that are "silent" - no ones on selling your private info, scammers are just dialing all numbers.  Took them a while to work out the new VoIP numbers but once they worked out the series they started dialing them.

I have been getting calls from these people on and off for months, always a different charity wanting money, today it's the PCYC, I have called the number  08 93616022 and had my number removed from their database... Lets see if that actually does anything.

I just rang back and a recorded message it's a fundraising call from the Western Australian PCYC... the message gives you another number to call back should you want to make a donation.. I donate every year to the PCYC and it definitely not a scam!!!

Received 6 calls from 08 6444 4816 over the past 2 weeks.. Thanks for the telemarketing company number.. will call them to have my number removed from their list.. Here's hoping it works!!

I am getting very annoyed with these calls.   I have silent number. Caller id. Do not call register.  Please stop these calls

I also have been recieving calls from this number even though I'm on the DO NOT CALL REGISTER
I have attempted several times to have them stop calling however had no luck
this is getting beyond a joke really fed up this the caller as they refuse to give any company name and refusing to state why they are calling

Probably peek through venetions cause scared of the mail man, I imagine!
