I received a call at around 5.30 this evening, but was late getting to the phone and the caller rang off before the answering machine cut in. I dialed *10# to see whose call I had missed and learned the caller was phoning from 08 64444816. I have recently had quite a few missed calls, with no message left, and wondered whether they were from the same caller. Do you think they could be scammers? I live in a Retirement Home in Gosnells, by the way.

I received 2 calls from 61 8 6444 4816 in the last 2 days on my mobile but missed them.
I called 61 8 9361 6022 and asked that my number be removed form their call list.
The lady was very polite and said that it would be done immediately.

Calls from this number may be from PCYC seeking your support to purchase raffle tickets. (All phone numbers called are listed in the white pages).

If you receive a call from this number, as i have done many times now over the last month... Today i finally googled this number and came up with this site.  Reading the above posts, someone said it is TFA in Victoria Park WA phoning.  I called TFA on 93616022 and it was confirmed that it is them phoning and then asked them to take me off their phone lists!

Called my mobile to many times. No message left.

Perhaps PCYC/TFA should get Telstra to do a check if someone has pirated this phone number.  I have had calls for the past few days and today, 4 consecutive messages left on my phone.  The voice just says hello several times and the last message the caller swore loudly and then hung up. The voice was of a young man. 4 messages in a row from a 'charity' wanting a donation?  I dont think most charities are that persistent or would allow their callers to speak to donators like that.

I know I missed a call around 8:15 pm so tried *10# to find out last number called.  Didn't find out who called at 8:15 pm, but 08 6444 4816 called at 2:07 pm today.  I did not try returning the call as 08 (WA) numbers are usually followed by 9xxx xxxx so I smelled a rat.

First time this has happened. Thank you for this website where I can find others with the same problem.

Yep, got a call from 0864444816 today but no message left. Tried calling it back over a number of hours but it says the number is busy. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't anything important, because I am expecting calls for other matters around this time. Thanks for your help guys! - St James

Thank you. I called the contact tel no in Vic Park and the polite lady said she would take my home tel no off the list immediately.

Have had other "odd" tel nos last year, different no. - from Sydney.

0864444816  yes I also rang 93616022 and they confirmed it was from WA Police & Community Youth Centres. I checked the number with the gentleman and it is one of theirs. He was sorry and politely removed my number from the database.

I received a call from this number this evening.  They called me on my husband's mobile number.  It's intriguing how they got the mobile number in the first place (the number is my husband's number but they specifically asked for me).
Any idea where they are getting their information?

Rang TFA number as posted above 93616022 and they were very polite and removed my number straight away

called 93616022.  they only required the phone number they called to remove from their database.  all done and they were polite about it

People.....do not buy raffle tickets from this number. Only 30% of the money goes to the charity...the rest of ur donation is used on paying the telemarketers their hourly rate and commission. Plus the cost of making the tickets. If you want to contribute to the charity, make a tax deductible donation. The call centre is not allowed to take any money from a donation.

And the reason people are always hanging up on you or swearing or yelling is because sometimes we would get bored. And its a dodgy workplace so u can pretty much get away with it. All they care about is if u make your hourly target.

Also...there is no point in making a complaint as they dont even do anything about it.They just say they will.

thank goodness for caller id ... they have an autocaller so when I made the mistake of answering the other day I could hear it click in.  I just hang up on them !

The buffoon who called (there was a lot of noise in the background so I suspected a crank call) said it was the WA police calling!  Not one to be intimidated I let him rant on.  Sounded like he was on drugs.  I am reporting this to the police.  How silly of them to leave their number available for all to see.  Not silly I suppose as I now know who they are.
