received a call from a company called The Holiday Specialist saying that they were working for teletext holidays and that I was entitled to a "free" holiday as I had previously booked holidays through teletext. They could give me all the information about this holiday. End result is I paid them  £400 for this free holiday plus a loyalty card which was going to save me hundreds of £s. When I received the initial correspondence from them it was to sign and return the receipt for my cash.
The name on this receipt is LIFETIME MARKETING SOLUTIONS. I  returned the signed paperwork and received paperwork from a company called GOLDEN TRAVEL CLUB and as far as I can make out are selling timeshare .The smallprint in the T@C says that this freebie is only for people between the age of 25 and 65 earning £15,000 a year. As I am 68 and my wife is 71 I think I have been ripped off. I,ll have to see what my credit card company has to say.

LMS got my name from Club La Costa. All these scam artist time share holiday companies in Spain are related. God knows why the BBC's Jennie Bond supports Club La Costa. She's blackened her reputation for ever as well as that of the BBC's Watchdog programme:

They are still at it, taking people for a ride.  I bought the travel card, booked my holiday through them, just for them to inform me 2 days befoe my departure that they never booked my tickets.

When I bought the tickets and the card, they ensured me that they are ATOL and ABTA registered,  Now that  I have actually asked for the numbers of their registration, they informed me that they are not actually registered, but the airlines are.

LMS also feel untouchable as they are in SPAIN.   As said to me by them, they are in Spain, so they are safe, non of the regulations apply to them.

That might be true, but what you sow you will reap.   And they are sowing plenty.

Telephone agent states no connection to Timeshare or any other like companies. Even direct you to a web site www.theholiday-specalist.com which looks very good. This is a scam be careful.

I too have been scammed with this loyalty card. I was just wondering if you have had any success in getting a refund from your card company.

I have been contacted by The Holiday Secialist and was suspected some was not right, because if it sounds too good to be true it usually  is. Having found this page, I am VERY GLAD not to have handed any money to them. DO NOT TRUST THEM OR HAVE ANY DEALINGS WITH THEM.

Wilmot, I also read your post and to be honest it did sound like you have some sort of personal hate campaign for the person.

    Maybe this was the reason.

For sure it was the site as only the administrator can delete posts.

Just had a phone call from an international number saying they were the holiday specialists. Thought their offer of a loyalty card for 30% discount and a free luxury 5* holiday for £299 seemed too good to be true so I googled them and came across this and the thread on trip advisor. Luckily I had told them to phone me back in an hour which they just did. After bombarding them with the info I found on the web and asking for an ABTA and ATOL registration number from them, they still weren't giving up. Telling me that if I had googled Thomas cook or Thomson online, I would find bad reviews about them too. In the end after telling them to delete my number from their system, I hung up. Pushy pushy pushy. Oh and they couldn't produce ABTA or ATOL numbers surprise surprise.
