Well I just received a phone call from this number 08 8462 6444 ... I currently reside in Victoria but I am from South Australia.... I picked it up thinking it would be a family member. The caller with a thick Indian accent stated his name was "Sanje" and then proceeded to tell me i kicked his dog in his neighbourhood. He called me names and was not a nice person at all. When i probed him for more information he would not state what suburb it was i apparently kicked his dog nor would he explain how he got my number. As im not in South Australia it seemed very odd he would think its me given hes not just some ass which i am hedging my bets on. I did not state my name nor did he know what it was. he was very shifty and i ended the call as he would not explain anything just kept saying "you F***ing kicked my dog you F***ing  B***h, i have called the police and you will pay for the vet bills".

I called the number back on a private land line after i had hung up to see if it was genuine and i got the optus message service directing me to other optus number such as 133345.

I am serious about receiving this phone call and it was very upseting to receive. Im not an optus customer and never have been, plus im a dog lover.... Very strange... go figure

Yeah I got the same call from that number tonight....however i left it ring out

But that dog call, I got one from an Indian man a week ago and he said the exact same thing, only difference was I dont know if its from this 0884626444 number as that one was private

Scammers , I got a phone call and they are asking for personal information regarding my phone usage I asked them to email me or fax me some details and they hung up ... have nothing to do with them. Could be fishing for ID infor for Identity Fraud

I didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message.... can't believe the Dog story. What a loser!

i also had a missed call from this number.. thanks for telling me it was a telemarketer, so i wont stress

to 'very annoyed' - that 'you kicked my dog" phone call is like a classic prank.. its not that funny. but its just as popular as the "is your refrigerator running, then why dont you go catch it" .... it was probably sme 11yr old and his friends.

Never ceases to amaze me that the most annoying telemarketers are usually your own telco.

Got a call from the number 61 8 8462 6444 at 3pm WA time, hung up when I answered it. It pissed me off as I am in NZ and on Optus Roaming and I am sure I will get charged for the call.

I got this call twice and i got curious so i google the number just to find out that its not just me. Anyway,  i didn't answer their call and they didn't leave any mssge at all

This number has been calling me for weeks, everyday. It only ever last for two rings. Not sure if I have ever been quick enough to answer as I always just get a dial tone.

In the past I did get a dodgy call from optus trying to get me to upgrade, but I was not helpful at all. Asked questions like .... do you often go over your plan? do you surf the net with your phone? do you ever surf the net. I answered no for every question, then when they couldn't get anywhere the girl said wait can you hold the line I need to get my manager and I flatly said "No" then hung-up ....DODGY!

This number was calling me every single day for weeks, and they would not leave any messages. I know it was Optus, I called their customer service centre on 133 345 and asked that they not call me for any marketing purposes (or any reason!) and be taken off all direct mail / marketing databases. Since that call I have not received anymore .... bliss!

Received call from 0884626444 this afternoon too.  They didn't leave a message.  Who do these people think they are?

Just called me - I didn't know who it was so I just googled it. Seemed dodgy. I picked up the phone after the first ring, cause it was in my hands, but they hang up straight away. I felt like it was a computer calling and trying to record if I pickup and what time. I expect to receive another phone call soon as now they know I answer at this time...

Also got a call from this number @ around 7:15pm no message left

Had a couple missed calls this week from them. Finally they got through. They were calling to confirm my new phone order and that they had all the details correct. This was definately a legitimate call from Optus.

Got a call from this number today, but they rang the mobile number for my 3 mobile broadband!

Calling from optus again and never leaves a message asking if he can help with my mobile service that is not even with this service provider!!!!
