- IseulI live in Alberta. I've had calls from this number many times this past week. I've only answered once, and after about 5 seconds, a guy (no accent) asked for me by my first name.... I asked who was calling and he said "Oh, this is Eugene", and asked for me again. I was kind of freaked out so I said she wasn't available and asked if I could take a message. He said no, he would just try back another time. The same number calls at least twice a day, and has been for about a week straight. The call display shows up like this:
V09121132450028
112-345-6789 - Sick'n Tired, OntarioThis number calls me at least 2 maybe 5 times/day. No one has ever said anything. I'm sick and tired of answering the phone and no one is there. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to get them off my back?! I'm seriously thinking of calling the police ... can they be charged with harrassment?

- Hillbilly| 1 replyI have rec'd many calls from 112-345-6789 (great # to have) with the name displayed as "V09140523360028" over the last several days & when I pick up there is no one there so I assume is a telemarketer. Yesterday @ 5:53 pm I decided to stay on the line for 20 seconds until someone answered their computer-generated call. The lady with an accent said she was calling to "fix my computer". I said, "ok, how do you know my computer needs fixing?" & she replied, "we're phoning everyone that has a computer as a service, to check out & fix the computer off-line." I said, you sound like you are from India. Are you calling from India?" "Yes" she replied. I said, "how do you make money if you are calling for a 'free' service all the way from India?" She said, "we have lots of happy clients, and they pay us." I said, "you sure must make a lot of calls to help 'everyone'." I asked her what the name of her company was and she said, "OnLine PC Care".
I asked her, "what do I have to do?" She asked, "am I in front of the computer?", then "am I the only one that uses the computer?" and "do I see the 'start' button on the bottom left?". She said to hold down the 'Windows' key & press 'r'. I said, "I didn't understand" so she said, "press the 'start' button, then 'Run' and a box will come up." I said, "ok, I see it now". She said, "type in eventvwr". I said, "ok" after confirming the correct letters (but actually had not typed anything as VERY suspicious). I asked her if she had heard of the 'Do Not Call List?" and she said, "no". I said, "you can be fined $100,000!" She said, "what do you see?" I said, "it says you look ugly." And she said, "pardon? What does it say?" I said, "it says you look ugly and stupid." With that she hung up!
The company has a website: onlinepccare.com sells 'help' plans and even has a Online Pc Care Scam Alerts" with full description of scams.
There is lots of complaints out there & blogs including this I found that shows screen pictures:

- AnonAnswered said number, silence, it then rang as if I had dialed, foreign accent on the other end claimed to be with some computer company, told them to get lost and don't call back.
Emailed my provider (Telus) and told them they need to do a better job stopping these sorts of calls and that I didn't need links and references as to how to use call block service, (their stock tactic.) I don't expect any customer satisfaction, in spite of the fact that these companies don't seem to realize that we hire them. Surely those bogus sequential phone numbers should be able to be caught and stopped by providers!!!!!!! Computers!!! Use them providers!!!!!! - JuddkinI got 3 calls from this number today, I answered once but could not undsrstand the foreign language.
seam to be east india accent - BillI received two calls from this number. One at 8:15 a.m. in the morning and another at around 5 p.m. in the evening. Did not answer either call as did not recognize the number or the 112 area code. Search on area code says it does not exist. The phone on call display shows an unusual
number which is V09160340120030. Very suspicious. Advise everyone not to answer this call. That is why we pay for call display.
Would like to see them blocked. - I'mnotstupid replies to HillbillyI too have received many of these calls. I've threatened to call the police, told him that I know it's a scam, told him that I don't have a computer, hung up. Finally I called Bell and had "Call Block" activated on my line. I hope this works.

- robthis is a spoof number going through the internet to other companys or personal phone line.
They Call to get you to take your computer in for servicing due to a spam problem, or you may let them do it for you. Once that happens you are in for a Big surpise they now control your computer for hacking and long distance calls to other user's. Call your Local Police Dept. and report it. - TNT| 1 replyJust received a call from an East Indian. He asked what operating system I was using. He knew my name and was telling me that they had detected problems with my computer and wanted me to let them fix. I gave him some desciptive language and then hung up.
- StevenReceived the call this morning at 9. No one was on the other end. Not a surprise it was a Microsoft Scam phone call.
The caller name came on my phone came up as "V1018932290041".
I filled out a complaint on the DNCL website, for all the good that will do. In speaking with Telus recently, I learned the only way to stop these calls is to change your number and make it unlisted. I'll be doing that soon enough.- Call type: Telemarketer
