this number jus called me  and it rang then hung up

I live in Ontario as well and I have received many phone calls from same number (1-212-345-6789 ) at any time. Someone is harassing to as.

Call from 112-345-6789.  Male had an east indian accent and he said our computer was going to crash and I should go to it and turn it on and he could walk me through it.  Had a few choice words for him and then hung up.  He called back three times with nothing useful to say, hung up on him every time.

this number sent a text to one of our phones...not sure what the hell it is...anyone know?

Just got that call too. I no longer answer calls from numbers outside Alberta, so once I saw this nonsense number (there is no 112 area code) I just ignored it. The scammers must be desperate for money because Monday I got about 20 calls and it's happening again today. It's almost as if a switch was thrown over the weekend. It comes in waves, though, so hopefully this latest wave will peter out soon. It's useless reporting the calls because Canadian and American authorities have no jurisdiction over these guys because they're all in India or Pakistan where law enforcement clearly doesn't care. Just make sure you have call display so you can screen the calls and that your voicemail message (in the unlikely event the call goes that far - usually the computer hangs up the moment the voicemail stars) doesn't mention your full name.

Live in Ontario and get calls from 1-112-345-6789 all the time , twice today . I never answer but i have tried to call them back , however with no success.I figure they must be up to no good if they don't even take calls back on their number. I tell people not to anwser the call.

I got a call from this number today and asked if I was the main user of a windows etc.

I got a call from these guys and no one answered after a couple of hello's so I just hung up.

I do not have a land line - that's the first line of defense against scam callers - I'm strictly wireless. I use Android software called "Extreme Call Blocker" (I have no connection with them, nor do I get paid by them) which makes it easy to end unknown calls. I assume similar software is readily available for iPhones. I received a call today from +11-234-567-890 but did not answer. The number itself is clear evidence it's phoney. I then programmed my call block software to send a very loud traffic jam noise to that number and then hang up. Still don't know who they are, but I don't care - they will never be able to make my phone ring again. Freedom is blessed.

who is the caller and what reason she called?

I also got a call from the East Indian guy at that number...twice today telling me something about my computer reporting crashes.  I knew something was up because I don't have crashes to report.  If they call again, I'm reporting it to the FCC.

I live in North GTA area.  Call from112 345-6789.  The women (many voices in back ground, thus a call centre) asked for me by name and stated that she was calling re; Government energy rebate that is ending.  I ended the call just after that
