They call my office line several times per week. No one is ever on the other end.

I am with AT@T wireless.

They called my cell!! Supposedly pressing '2' will stop them from calling again...  so I guess we'll see if they call back! They want to 'lower your credit card interest rate', no thank you!!!!!

So I've read quite a few of these threads and they all seem to have one thing in common, these calls are being placed to cell phone #'s.  They obviously aren't getting our listings from the phone book, so how are they getting our numbers?  I've been using my cell phone number as my primary # as I just moved to the Philadelphia area last month and I've had to sign up for a lot of new things.  I want to know which business has sold my number to these vultures so that I'm no longer doing business with them.  The only other thing I can think of is that I have my profile set to "public" on Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com and they may be getting it from there.

Automated call in to business line, when I answered it said Card Services was calling and to be connected to a person about my interest rate press 1. When the rep answered I asked to whom did they service she happily said all Master Cards and Visas. When I asked who they were calling for, because this was a business and roughly 200 people work here she hung up on me promptly.

Please stop calling my cell phone.

My 12 year olds cell phone was ringing and I answered it.  It was this number saying something about his recent credit card account.  No body is on there after the automated message.  Just disconnects.

didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number; now I'm glad I didn't.

They called me when I was on a phone interview.

This number came up on my CORPORATE ISSUED BLACKBERRY today. I told them to f*ck off, and how the hell did you get this number.

These [***] just called me too. I've recently been applying for jobs on careerbuilder, Monster, and other sites... do you think they got my # from there?

I've been applying for jobs on Careerbuilder.com and Monster.com but I only have a profile on MONSTER. That's probably where they're getting our numbers from.

I don't use my cell # for anything else.

only personal friends have my number, not published anywhere, received a call ten minutes ago. ARGH. Glad I didn't catch it in time.

Yeah i got this crap too. It says to Press 2 to be removed from the list...I did press 2 and it looks like I was removed...or at least they said I was.
Try pressing #2 next time you get a call like this.

Just got the call, about 2:30 CST.  I do what I always do, I answer and then immediately hang up without waiting for a response.
My cell phone is my primary # so, I'm sure I've signed up for something and that's how they've gotten it.   The online job sites also seem to be a common link as well, although this does not apply to me.
Man, I love this country.

Repeated calls from this number

Got this call today also.  Been reading on here about others problems.  I ddin't answer it just as I am apt to do.  But this is not my primary phone nor did I sign up for anything except, curiously enough, a new cell phone.  I don't know what to think but it does suck that now they are reaching out again to waste our time and resources on stuff we can't afford or don't want anyway.

I just got a call today assuming it might be important and answered it by mistake.  They hung up on me before they said anything, though. why would they call people way down here anyway?

these people are rude. Do not answer.  ripoff even if they get you 6.9% as they promise.  do not waste your time and you can do it yourself.
