    I just inquired about another apt. (thought it was) in Sacramento. This was worded differently. Relaxation of Glamour Apt. 2 bdrm. After asking where it is, got the same reply from a Bridgen B. 1201 Fulton Avenue. What can be done to stop these people?  BTW, anyone REALLY have a reasonable place in Sacramento?

    Wow - just uncovering a similar scheme in Ocean City, MD.  Post on craigslist.  BoA did confirm the account owner's name and number but she may be in on it too.  Response came back under vacation.rental2000@gmail.com.

    Scam on apartment at Rehobeth Beach, DE.  Something did not smell right and they ask me to wire the money to the account of "Maria" at a Chicago bank.  This was all on email from a person who identified himself as Scott.

Nuno and Scott Sinclair??  I went on CL looking for a place in Ocean City.  The ad I responded to sounds just like what you guys have up above.  In addition, the routing # and account # are for a Maria L. Nuno, who supposedly owns the place.  The person's name I've been dealing with on email is Scott Sinclair at vacation.rental2000@gmail.com.

    I encountered these folks from a CL add for a San Diego vacation rental. Everything was per email,no property website,phone contact etc and when ask to see outside   pictures of the property Scott Sinclair said there was no outside pictures just  the inside of the property pictures. I asked about paying w/ cashiers check or credit card andhe said no you had to pay the whole rent and security deposit with a bank transfer to a Maria  l Nuno with a Chase bank acct in Chicago. I started thinking things were getting too  odd when the fax # he gave was a Washington state #. Dumb me didnt listen to my gut feeling & I did  make the money transfers but I contacted  Bof A right away and was able to cancel  them.I did get the phone # of Scott Sinclair after that and asked him if he was being honest about this rental transaction and he said yes-  someone else has been using his name and thats why I had seen it mentioned in a not so positive light when I googled Maria Nuno.  He has a heavy accent and communication was not the best. Buyer beware and pay attention to your gut instincts.Maybe he was legit but I doubt it.

    Just found another posting for Rehoboth Beach from 'Scott Sinclair'. I thought things were fishy so I tried to get a 'non-automated' response from him about the rental and would like to know the address. He sent me the address of a beach house that was listed as for sale and the listing said it was not a rental...weird! Hope nobody falls for the trick.

    This person is now doing this in Omaha!  I just googled her name and this came up.  Exact same message.  Wanted same deposit.  I knew the price was to low!!  As every other vacation rental was 3 to 4 times as much!!!

    This is crazy! You hear about all these scams and I'm just so glad I had a bad feeling about this guy and decided to do some research first. I was literally an hour away from going to the bank to transfer $500! this guy's emails all look exactly the same. When you get a guy named "Mark Braverman" that can't write an email english that actually makes sense and is only asking for about 50% the cost of comprable units in the SAME condo building it definitely raises a red flag. His emails also always focused on getting the money over getting a signature on an agreement or even answering all my questions I had about the actual unit. I knew it was too good to be true! I'll be spending more money with an actual rental company instead just to have the peace of mind that I know everything is legitimate.

    Beware of the following: The guy goes by the name Mark Braverman. The email address he used with me is markvacationhome@aol.com. The name I was to send the money to is Maria L. Nuno at Chase bank in Chicago, Illinois.

    The guy didn't try to use Western Union with me, though. I was to transfer to a Chase account, which is also the bank I use. I wonder if Chase would do anything with the information if I gave it to them.
