Home security group  I was told to call 1 877 763 1880 to find out where they got my number from, but no one ever answers.  I've been getting lots of these and am on the do not call list,  really want to find out which effing site got my number.

Missed call on my cell phone today around 2:30. No message.  I am on the do not call list and will report this.

My cellphone is on do not call list but just received a call from this number. The guy said "Hi, I am Kevin and I am with The Home Security Group. How are you doing today?" I said "OK", there was a pause and he hanged up.

the # 206-397-1523 wanted to sell a security system and also wanted to put a sign out front. they also wanted to ask questions regarding the ownership of our home.

Folks you are probably encountering a robot dialer using a spoofing technique for VoIP. (Voice-over-Internet-Protocol). I have also reported this to the FTC.

What irks me is that this can be fixed. It requires the ISP's to work together to accomplish it or and act of congress. Without that help, it is impossible to catch these persons and they know it.Given the budget situation and BP I think the legislation part can be ruled out. ISP's hate sharing information with their competitors even when it won't hurt any of them but will help the clients of all of them!

The worst part is that the robot self tunes and is tuned by the person who designed it as well. Your responses are stored and reviewed then cataloged for a return response. I had a brief conversation with it. I asked some basic questions about the home security system and it could answer those after a brief pause for calculation. I asked more complex questions about installation and then random questions about weather, etc. The complex questions always forced the robot to repeat itself and then it would try to guide me back to the path allowing for gathering of personal information (I suspect).

It asked me, after I became challenging, if I would like to be put on a do-not-call-list. (Heightened speech patterns are highly detectable and distinguishable, with relatively easy software to procure.) I insisted that I not be put on the call list and I would really like to hear more! It happily restarted and began the process over. Note: This can also be accomplish by several people with enough audio equipment, like prank calling. But it is probably the robot. Unfortunately, I think this is another one of those uses for technology that was never intended.

Recieved call from this number - I don't know anyone in WA - ignored call recieved no voice mail

Unsolicited call offering a free home-security system. Told them never to call me again. He apologized, but I hope this isn't a harbinger of the next wave a telemarketing via your cell phone. I'm more interested in how these people get your number and putting a stop to that.

Every once in a while (which is TOO often!) I get a call from this number.

i got a call from this number this morning. the guy introduced himself as kevin thompson. he tried to sell some free security system ($1000 worth) for putting a small advertising sign on my yard. it sounded like a total scam to me. as most of you said, i am on a do not call list but i have been getting this kind of calls on my cell phone lately.

I got the same call on my cell.  how are they getting everyone's cell numbers?

Security system company told me that one of their on-line clients passed along my information and he wanted my name to send me to someone else.

I asked him which company and he just repeated it was one of their on-line clients. I told him if my information was passed on to him, then he would have my name.  He then said he had a recording and played it for me. It was my voice saying a really jumbled up name.

That tells me he recorded me as we were speaking and then played back two words scrambled so I would say no, that's not my name, my name is... Only I didn't fall for it. I told him I had had the same number for 10 years and that was not my name and no one elses name could be associated with my number. He then realized he had been caught out and told me to have a nice day and hung up.

This number called and I missed it.. this is the 4th or 5th time in a week that it's called me.. and it's calling to my cell phone - which I don't want them to call!

I am on the do not call list, and I got a call from this number on my cell phone.  I did not answer it because I didn't know who it was.  They didn't leave a message, so I googled to see who was calling me from a 206 area code.  It took me to this website, and I read the complaints from everyone else, so I reported it to this website...
