I got one of these "your computer has a virus and I'm here to help you" type phone calls a few months ago.  It was early in the morning and I was still in bed.  I don't usually answer calls that I don't recognize but I was still half asleep and answered this one.  The person (with a thick foreign voice; is it PC to say foreign?  Probably no) said my computer has a virus.  I asked him why did he call me so early.  He said because it us urgent (yeah, right).  I told him I wasn't giving him any information and slammed the phone down.

got calls, my landline is private........i am not user friendly... when they say hi are you so and so.......i say "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU? and in my state it is a oneparty consent to record.........CHECK YOUR STATE AND INFORM THEM THEY ARE BEING RECORDED...........they hate this.......Also remember your Attorney General, and anyone calling to talk to you, ask for it in writing.......when you hang up........hit star 67 and it goes to your local police on record in case you need it............I have FREAKED many out with this technique.........I am disabled with a dog and if I started a business it would be to FIND THESE PEOPLES HOME PHONE AND CALL EVERY 5 MINUTES.  they live on bs mountain.........ask them how the weather is up their [***]?

Man with a very deep accent who can barely speak eanglish says he is calling from microsoft and they noticed I was having some pc errors. I asked why they were hacking into my PC. He says no, no...we want to fix the errors on your pc. It is backed up with problems/ I say I have to use the bathroom hold on. I take the phone next to running water then next to the flushing tolit. I then proced to ask if he has something to fix my stomach cuz my stomach is backed up. He says yes to that too. I laugh and tell him he is an idiot and a stupid MO'fo if he thinks Im giving him any infromaiton. I then sate take my name off your list or I will report you to the athorities. He hung up. This is a scam... ask them to take you off the list or you will report them.

I also  got these calls from same number and I do answer just to make sure it's a scam and then I block them. Panasonic phones are great and you won't have to worry about unwanted calls anymore !!!

I got called this morning,caller ID read Sanatonio,Tx.I was not home at the time,I would not answer anyway.They left no message.I know what these scamers are trying to do.I gotten a lot of these scam calls from SanAntonio before,they use a lot of numbers. SCAMERS

I received a call from 210-280-8487.  They asked to speak to the owner.  I asked who it was.  They said "Hello" and then hung up.

They called a number that I do not have through verizon, so this does not explain why they called me.

There was a recorded message from this number couple minutes ago, when I picked up the phone, I heard a guy said he is the agent of IRS and asked to return his phone call @ a different number, which is "the attorney's office" and repeated that a returning his phone call is important to to me and my related family.

Received two calls from this number. First one hung up. Second was a thick accented male whom I couldn't understand so threw the phone on the couch for about 15 minute went back to it and low and behold he was GONE~

They called me this morning, first under a different number, claiming to be from the Microsoft Server Center, or some BS, which I knew to be fake, because of the static noise in the background.  An Indian fellow.  I told him to stop calling me, that his is violating the Federal and FL DNC laws.  He called back under two different numbers.  The third time he called back and called me a [***], a MFer (several times) and a f'ing [***].  A stream of profanity on my voice mail system..  He called under these numbers: 404-207-9632, 404-202-4632  (registered to Seth Garima) & 210-280-8487.  Incredible.  Please dont hesitate to report these guys to the FCC.  The fine is over $26,000.

Just got a call from this number, but I am fairly certain it has called before.  I do not pick up numbers that I do not recognize and that offer no caller id to tell me who they are.  There is never a message left.  How is it that we cannot make this kind of thing stop?  It makes me tired.

Just got a call from this number. Guy with heavy accent said he was calling about my computer. Told him I wasn't falling for his scam. He proceeded to argue with me and when I said he knew nothing about my computer he said he knew everything about my family. Hung up and called the number back and got a recording that the number has been disconnected. I am sick and freekin tired of these stupid calls.

Just got a call from this number , said from Microsoft tech and was getting messages from my pc. Told them thought it was a scam and was having no problems with my pc and they hung up then.

I received a call from 210-280-8487 and started my details such as name address, then said are you working on computer we are calling from california Tech Defend and you have some firewall issue.
I started asking few questions and they drop the call.........
When I tried to reach above # i got buzy tone .....
Please be careful and never follow any instructions because they can get into your computer and get all valuable data such as login/ passwds and account details etc....

Received call From a man that could barely soak English....asked about my computer. I asked where he was calling from her said USA...i started messing wogh him and said i dobt speak indian...he called me and my familh monkeys

He could hardly speak English?  Your post is littered with the most basic errors!

I'm not saying that these people are nothing more than parasites. But if you want to expose them, then you should be literate in your response.

I know that I'm being pedantic. I don't mean to be sarcastic. I just feel that we shouldn't be holier than thou with regard to their rather tenacious grip of the English language.

But regardless of this, the point that you are making is of course correct.
