called once so far at about 4:14 pm dont know who it is

"Charlie" tried to sound like he was a friend calling for one of my colleagues.  Said he would call back when I told him she was not working today.  When I answered the phone, he said her name as if he was a dear friend trying to speak with her.

This number was calling me about 4-6 months ago several times per day. I reported them to the do not call registry, as I am on the registry and the calls were coming through anyway. I had called my local phone company to put a block on my phone and they said that they couldn't help me because it wasn't a local number. Anyway, after reporting them the calls stopped temporarily. However, today they started up again. I don't know if they will continue or not. What I do know is that when I saw the number pop up I didn't answer the call and immediately came here.

I got this number on my caller ID instead of my friend's number. He was calling long distance from Mexico. I usually don't answer to numbers I don't know but I found out it was him because he left a message!! That is not even his number!! I called him right away to ask him if he changed his number he ssaid NO. So there must be a mistake with the the telephone companies!!

I have a friend in the UK that called me and this number showed up as a missed call.  I tried calling it back and all I got was a busy signal.  I would love to know who this number is attached too.  Something just isn't right here!!!

I just received a call from this number today, with no one on the other end, followed directly after I hung up, it happened 4 more times. But the 4 additional calls, they blocked my caller id from seeing who they were. The first call showed 213-291-1900, but when they called me right back (hadda be them!), it said "out of area" for the next 4 calls. So was the first call a slip-up on their part, whereby they forgot to block my caller id?
Not sure if it's connected, but every single day, at least twice but usually 4x, i get called by an "out of area" caller (with no #) and I get to listen to what sounds like fax machine beeps. I have no idea how to make it stop. We haven't had this # more than 2 years, but we have always had this out of area caller. We are on the do not call list. It drives me crazy. We had SBC/AT&T and they said to get a trace we would have to call police and file a report for harrassment, minimum $35 charge. Then we changed phone providers, Charter, and they were no help either. What the heck?!

Yes this is from shaw digital phone line when caller requests a blocked line. So anyone who uses shaw digital phone when playing around the VOIP provider will subnet this as the phone number

This number is a from any business or person using shaw digital phone in Canada and has a backloop when they are trying to use a call block function. I know this because my wife who lives in Vancouver was trying to be sneaky a couple of times and this number from her appeared on my cell phone. So what ever telco has bought this exchange can sublet the numbers via voip to semi back track. Yet this is for sure Shaw.ca , and further investigation to their digital phone lines and good information on how to proceed to the next step.

This is for sure a VOIP exchange done buy one cable company I know shaw.ca. Hope this helps

The auto warranty scam.  They called from a different number initially and I dragged them on for a while and then hung up.  They then called back at this number and I didn't answer it.  Of course, they didn't leave a nessage.

I received a call on 2/9/09 at 11:45 central time.  They hung up.  I have entered my number on the do not call list, so wonder why I get hang up calls.

I only received a busy signal when I tried to call them back.  I am also on the donotcall.gov list

i ve been called 4 times with 2 hours --- when i answer they hang up ! if i get a live person i will give them a piece of my Mind!

HELLOoOoOooOO!!!!!!!All the calls from 213-291-1900 are from prepaid phone cards!!!!
