Those poor schleps that call you ARE working. They probably feel as bad about what they do too, but they do what they can to put food on their table. I see the jobs that are (not) available, because I was laid off in December after 34 years from a company I worked for since age 22. I have been looking. It's slim pickin's out there, for the majority. These people are damn lucky to have that job...though I would not stoop that low, bothering people over the phone. I got this same call today, didn't answer. Hah, yeah. Like I could afford a Bahama cruise right now anyway.

Never answer a number I don't recognize and unless they leave an message don't call back.

I would never run to pick up my phone as I have it for MY convenience, not the caller.

And why would anyone run to get their phone unless your 12 and think it's your BF or GF?

Called this afternoon.  When my wife said, "Please take me off your call list" the caller responded with, "But for $99 you can…"

Interrupting him, my wife said, "You need to take me off your call list!"  The caller said, "F*Ck you!" and hung up.

Seriously??

If I don't recognize a number I don't answer.  The No Call List is worthless.  They might as well quit wasting their time.

I also got a call about a free trip at 9:30AM today. Just another BS scam. The do not call list is a waste of time. The FCC and FTC won't do anything to enforce it. I have filed complaint after complaint about these low life telemarketers calling and nothing has or will be done about it.

Got this call, did not answer, and politely added it to my rejection list.. I too am on the "Do not call list" for my home and mobile, but continue to receive calls. Very aggravating.

haha...called and my hubby answered. They said we won a free cruise to the Bahamas. Me being an agent he knew better. If I answered I would've checked it out :)

The no call list to which you are referring is for land lines only.  There is no such thing for cell numbers. Look it up.

From the fcc.gov site if you search is there a do not call list for cell phone numbers.

"Wireless phone subscribers have always been able to add their personal wireless phone numbers to the national Do-Not-Call list, either online, or by calling toll-free to 1-888-382-1222 from the phone number they wish to register. The do-not-call rules require callers that are not exempt from the rules to stop telemarketing calls 30 days after you register a number."

"The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. If they do, you can file a complaint at this Website. You can register your home or mobile phone for free."

I did not answer this call.  They left no message.  I checked this site to see who this was.  I appreciate the information from other posts who identified this call as an attempt to sell a cruise.

I'll be interested to know if you hear anything from filing that report.  I've filed over 20+ reports on non-compliant telemarketers.  It states you may not be contacted..  I've never been contacted and these calls seem to be increasing in numbers.  It's ridiculous!

Received a call from this number.  Did not leave a message and I did not answer.  No other information except the phone number.  4/4/14  3:18 p.m.

I Answered, no one spoke. Just heavy breathing, then hung up.
