Just got a call from this number on my cell phone.  I didn't recognize the number so I ignored it; no message left. More than likely a telemarketer or a crook.

I just got a call at 7:50pm may 28th 2014. I did not recognize number and checked it when i saw they left no message. I never call numbers back that i don't know...but from what i've read here sounds like some annoying cruise or survey robo call? I never get robo or other solicitations on my cell. To my knowledge im on the "do not call" list. This is the only number ive received in over 5 years that is a solicitation of some sort. Am i on a list of consumers to call or randomly called? THAT is what I need to know. How can I do that? Any suggestions?

I don't think there is anyway to truly stop these calls.  Both my cell phone and home number are on the do not call list as well (since May 11, 2005), but apparently companies like this ignore it.

The FTC tried.. Why can't the phone companies block these numbers for free after a predetermined amount of complaints have been received? The cost of a phone line plus caller ID is already ridiculous and then they only let you block a small amount of numbers. There must be a gazillion numbers for telemarketers.
Me and the Mrs use our cell phones most of the time and the house land line is given to companies we do business with and is the number we receive all the scammer calls on.

Call apparently from this number today. Sounds like scam telemarketers. Avoid.

You're exactly right.  Like all those government ads trying to sell Obamacare.

I put my number on a invent website, subscription. It's probebly the company or buyers of my number.

Called for a cruise and I hanged up and they call me back for me to fill out a survey and I hanged up and blocked using iphone

Did you post your telephone number on Craigslist?
If so, it's probably not a coincidence, as that is exactly how this happened to me.
I'm in AZ,..what state are you in? (other than intoxicate, disgusted, or P.O.'d at the government :-P )

I listed phone number in the subject of the add half spelt out for about a day before I noticed they changed how you enter your info then changed it to the contact section.

This morning I got a call that played a recorded message from 214-316-9648. It was a "survey" of some kind. I hit "1" a number of times and then they went away.

A couple of hours later I get another call from 952-653-1098 trying to give me a free cruise or some crap. I inform their supervisor that they company they are using for lead generation is doing so illegally, but he states they don't care. So I report both numbers to the FTC at 1-888-382-1222.

If calls like this make you made, get registered with the DNC and report each one that comes in. I swear to god you will start getting less calls if you do this.

Just got a call again from this number.  Did not answer.  Hate these mo-foes.
