They called me to offer between 3% to 9% interest for life claiming that I was chosen by the Canadian tax bureau  ,Unfortunately I was trapped by them and gave some info about my visa and master card but at the end someone with the name Justin gave me wrong information about my balances and limits and he said that his ( financial company) will charge me 700US$ for this service and they will make a conference call between me , them and the creditors, but when I discovered that it"s a big scam I answered them that I need to think more about it but Mr. Justin became so angry and he said that my interest will increase because I changed my mind and he said impolitely " It was not nice talking to you " , i called my visa and master card at once to stop these credit cards and order new ones with different numbers  , This is a dangerous scam calling people at their homes and I guess it has to be stopped by the authorities and law.

Do not, do not, do not do this!!!!!! They managed to get our debit/visa and charged the fee right away and now we are trying to get out $500 back and it's hell!!!!!!! 18665839788 is their 'customer care' line and the one chick is an absolute b*tch!!!!! Lindquest Tax Accounting is a scam!!!

Also received a call today from Lindquist Tax and Accounting, same phone number and story. The guy said his name was Oscar Smith, same again heavy East Indian accent. When we checked with our bank
they checked out the name, LTA, and phone number and informed us that yes it was a scam.

If a company called Linquist Tax and Accounting calls you and tells you they can lower your rates on your credit cards they are fraud scam pieces of garbage who are going to rot in hell and will all go to jail .They have a major scam going on .They are all the scum of the earth . So Beware .They made some mistakes with me so i am hoping i can put a couple of them in jail where they belong and stop this scam.

yes it's a scam,I was also called and they had my credit cards #,my address,the amount I owed on it everything,,they also put an amount of 733.32$ on it,,that I never agreed to.It;s about time they get caught!!!

Jerks called me had all my info on cards,my mailing address,the amonnt on my cards,they told me they would reduce my interest on my cards,,I told them I wasnt interested,they charged 733.32 on my visa.They also wanted me to get online have a website up so I could help someone else,,I told them I wasn't interested.They kept on calling I had to tell them I was being harrassed.since then they haven't called me again,,I called them and told them they had charged my credit card as I told them I didn't want to!!! One called,named Alex Brown,another one Mark Anderson,another one Shawn King.

OK so if this is a scam.. why did i spend almost an hour on the phone.. made them give me almost my complete card infrormation,  was passed on to a manager.. continued along to the next company involved they areGF TAX services.. they couldnt negotiate with my current card they have offered me a new card at 0% for 10 months and 4% for life after that on the new card... i will not be charged a dime until ive received the new card and called back to have my current card transferred over.. once that is done.. i will be charged 595.00 US at that time and not before that.
hey ive been paying 200 a month interest on 10K balance.. think about it in 3 months ive paid for the 1 time charge and my terms and conditions on the new card cannot be broken as they are from a legitimate CC company offering good clients an opportunity to pay off there debt more quickly.. i will repost in a few weeks and let you all know if its a scam or not ... but after talking with the last person on the phone i felt alot more at ease.. and NO he had no accent at all not that should make any difference.

Yep its a scam.. getting it reversed immediately and the guy mark anderson has said he will email me and also reverse the charge.. so DONT DO IT

I see this was posted back in 2011.  Well it's Sept 2012 and it seems that Lindquist has moved on and joined up with others to continue their business scams.  I received a phone call over the long weekend, a B.C. number and an Indian woman told me that they could lower my credit card interest rates to 5%. She also said she was working for Maple Accounting and gave me a website, that looks very legitimate, and they were contracted by all the major banks in Canada as well as Visa and Mastercard.  I asked her for all her information first and said I would be willing to have her call back in 30 mins.  I called my banks using the customer service numbers, and none of them confirmed that Maple Accounting was working for them and they told me to call the Canadian Anti Fraud Center and report them.  I then called Visa and Mastercard and they both told me it was most likely a scam and to not give out any information.. which I didn't.  My female caller called back 40 mins later and asked me for my credit card numbers and which bank I used.  I refused the information and told her not to call back.  I have since reported them to the anti fraud center.  Do not give out any information to anyone over the phone claiming they can give you so much as a can of pop if you answer a skill testing question.  I have worked for market research companies, which were contracted out by Canadian Banking institutions, and no one.... who is legitamately calling from a credit card company or bank, will ever call you asking for personal information.... PERIOD!!!.  The only thing you WILL get from a major bank is a customer satisfaction survey, and usually those are now done today either online, or you have previously agreed in person at a bank to give them your comments on their services. BEWARE CANADIANS!!!  Most of the scammers from the US are moving in because we are now an open market to them.

But I did record our phone conversation on my cell phone recording feature.(Should I post that  somewhere?)

The # that Chris Micheals .....No foreign accent detected...gave me to contact is  866-644-7798. I tried and reached a recording.....and..ALL of the 6 options offered for different departments brought me to the one voice mail box that was not accepting more calls.
I wonder if  it would be worth the time to try recuperating the dough, since this happened back in june , and that I was so swamped at work that I could not follow up on the offer.

I was given this number 214-699-6217 to call in regards to. IRS. Stating they were filing a Law Suit and to return their call. I looked the number up and it's from a Telemaketer of some sort.

Scam #. Evidently it's a number from an LTA Entity as well as a Scam IRS number that called and left a message for me today. I looked up the number at it came to these comments! No, I did not call them back. I don't answer calls with numbers I don't know.

SCAM - Told me the IRS was filling a law suit against me! Call them back for more information.

Got message on my cell phone that IRS was filing a suit against me and to call 2146996217. I knew this to be a Dallas number, and my mom's pension is from there, but I always look up the number for calls like this. In reading the history of these scams back to 2011, it's amazing to me they'd still be using the same number for that long. I never return calls like this. The IRS always writes a letter anyway. They don't threaten to prosecute. They already have your address and contact you by mail before any action. There are verification & notification requirements, time deadlines & allowances for your response, etc., just like with any other legitimate court action. I'm going to turn this into the IRS too for them to prosecute as fraud.
