Okay, let me clear this up.. I got a call from this number also, from a city in South Texas, it's the number that several pay phones call out from (it's not the number of the actual pay phone, it calls out as one main number, stationed in Dallas)!!!!!

Got this call from 214-969-5489 on Sat. Nov 10th at 1:50 pm. The area code is out of Texas in the Dallas Area, I did not get to it in time, but from the looks of it and all the other comments, this must be some telemarketer, or some credit card scam...

got a call 3-times saying my grandson was calling collect but they need a credit card number I was worried so i gave them my nuber I was lucky my CC company has this flagged and wouldnt accept it so I still dont no who was calling me I also called my phone company and they assured me you never need a credit card number to receive a collect cal think I was a scam target.

i just got a call from this number it was my boyfriend they told me i needed a credit card. I got scare

I got a call from this number and it was my ex-wife calling for my son.  She said that she was using a pay phone that was located at a Drug Rehad center in Watonga, OK.  I asked a veteran phoneman and he said the line could be sold to a company out of TX and can be feed into the oklahoma line.  My guess is that they do not want people to call their dealer and better yet have their dealer call back to the rehab center.

i received a call early this morning from my friend that was just released out of jail yesterday. the recording says to press "3" to accept the call after his recording so that i can talk to my friend for 1 minute. somehow, before i could press 3, the line disconnected. i am super-pissed. when i called back, i got a busy signal.

I just received a call this morning at about 8:27 AM and they the caller stated that they are a telephone calling card company and that my boyfriend was trying to reach me collect and for me to accept the call I have to provide a credit card number.  I requested more information and caller could not provide me with their company name and instead hung up.  I think this may be a scam.

Don't bother reporting this to the FCC, I just tried and they told me that they don't handle pay phones.  And they cant get the location for you.

this call is also coming from a pay phone in Lake Butler, Florida,  from all that I found out this is a generic number that is used by a telephone compnay out of Texas that has pay phones all over the united states, any time a person uses these pay phones, it is re rounted back to the Texas headquarters and then from there to your phone, The person calling can be right up the road from your house using a pay phone and yet the call is coming from the Texas phone companies headquarters in Texas.

I received a call from this number here in Indiana today at 1:51pm Eastern time.  Didn't recognize the #, but it came up as "ILD Comm".  No message left.

Gor several calls from this number last night and this morning...
Didn't recognize it so let the fax machine get it.
You'd think they'd learn to send a fax.

The number is the number to a prison.  A friend of mine is currently locked up there and called us to tell us he was using his complimentary phone call.  Hope this clears up some problems for people.

Got call from this number at 8:44 this morning.
I was still in bed so didn't answer.
Called back and got busy signal.
Came up as ILD Comm.

The phone number is an international calling card phone number. We recently had some international students visit us and every time they called that number came up on the caller id. I tried to look the number the first time they called (to see where they called from in the US and it showed Dallas, TX). They where actually in Atlanta calling from a pay phone at the airport. They bought the card in Argentina.

Yeah Like you some you guys I got the call, but no one answered back when I answered. Wierd that some of you mention sc and tx cause I'm in sc and the b/f is originally from the dallas area. It makes me wonder, specailly after i typed in the nubmer and this is the web page i get.?

Female voice who knew my name and said my boyfriend was cheating on me.  She knew his name alse.

ya havent checked my message yet but it's prob nothin interesting eh.. from the sounds of it.. i just searched cuz i was wonderin who the f it was lol

Ok, got a bit of an emergency here.  Dad got a call from 214-969-5489 saying my mom was trying to call him collect from ft. lauderdale.  Yes, she was in ft. lauderdale that night.  We live in Jacksonville.  We call her cell and suddenly it's disconnected.  We call again and get voicemail.  Can't contact her, but the the caller knew where she was and her name!  Still trying to contact someone...  Know anything about this disconnecting good numbers?

Received two calls from this number claiming to be and operator with collect calls from two different names. Asking for me to pay for it with a credit card. I DON'T THINK SO FOLKS
