I think this phone number is just a pay phone service.  I put my nephew on a bus from NC to Nevada and he tried to call me collect from a pay phone and that's the number it showed.

I received a call from this number on my cell. His message was I'm Barry. I don't know any Barry. I will report these call to the authorities and the phone company.
This sounds like a scam of some type.

This number originates from a pay phone in a halfway house in Charlotte, NC.  My ex-fiancee is housed there and she has called me from this number before.

This number calls and says you have a collect call.  It is a scam to get your credit card number.

I too have been receiving calls from this number all hours day and night this is getting very old!   I feel that the phone company that assigned this number to who ever should do something about it.  It is encouraging stupidity, and the  point of  phones is for communication not harassment. Whether or not it is an inmate, telemarketer, bill collector or whatever the deception is simply not okay.  I understand that inmates shouldn't be contacted while in prison what is so difficult about assigning a specific no-return phone number to them.  Why can't a specific number be assigned to each specific site so the bs is limited?   In doing this at least if it is a legitimate call a person would at least know where to start looking for the individual that was trying to contact them. Another reality if it is indeed a scam it could actually be addressed and stopped, It really isn't that difficult to eliminate these suspicious calls and maybe the individual who has set up this game or whatever you want to call it might have to face a little accountability!!!!!!   Enough all ready!

This number keeps calling me, I do not answer, but it has happened several times. They come in always after 11 p.m.

what is the problem with thus number? they keep calling and you cant call back to them all ways busy. no one there but they keep calling me im not going to answer.

I need to know who call me at that number. they ask me for my social security number. and lie about school grants is not true.

This is so weird...because I got a call from this number yesterday and normally I don't even answer if I suspect it is a telemarketer.  Well, the caller ID showed the number and Dallas, TX, so I answered it.  It sounded like faint voices doing telemarketing while I said hello twice...then I said, please remove this number from your call list and then hung up.  A little while later, my daughter called me from another another phone (who is out of state visiting a friend in Montana, I am in Washington State) and she said it was her who had called and she repeated what I had said and that she could hear me, but I could not hear her.  Her phone thru Virgin Mobile is not working in Montana for some reason. Why it came up Dallas, TX and that number is beyond me.  It is like the lines crossed somehow.

I've been getting collect calls from this number all morning. I hear jumbled noise on the recording where they should state their name. It asks for a credit card to accept the charges. I keep hanging up on them. If it was someone I knew, they would state their name.

I also do not know anyone in Dallas Texas? Very strange. Beware if they are calling you.

This is vickie or victoria, all of my identity has been stolen and my privacy has been invaded and my life has been changed its a hard road to go down.  hopefully the cops will find the person that did it.

Girlfriend called me from this # about 30 minutes ago. It's a Texas area code for sure. Lived there for 25 years so I should know. Funny thing is, I've been living here in Orange County for over 10 years and although she's also from Dallas/Ft. Worth, she's been living out here with me for the last 2 years, and unless she got beamed back to Texas in the last hour, she definitely called from somewhere in Orange, Riverside, or San Diego County. She definitely did it on purpose and definitely did it to be sneaky, but I'll find out what she did and why and update this as soon as I do
