They called and I did not look at the number, big mistake I know. Have had this telephone number for over 15 years, name not even similar to the one the person they were calling.    Told me call is being recorded, but I do not care,  we are not the people they are looking for.  Kept asking if we knew the people, are they neighbors.  What, am I supposed to track down people for them?  Should they be allowed to harass people that live in the same neighborhood to find the person they want to find?   Some of you may say, well pay your bills, blah blah, but these are not our debts, and I am not about to go searching for people for them.

Yeah... debt collectors... they are bottom feeders using robo-dialer techniques, often recycling old numbers gleaned from (generally) outdated and unreliable data sources.  These types often scrounge for pennies-on-the-dollar debt salvage efforts and, simply put, are playing the percentages, etc.

I gave them a fictitious name--which, lo and behold!--was "...on their collection list..." and that the balance due was $674.50.  I agreed that I could do this over three payments and asked to be transferred to a manager, to whom I immediately introduced myself as his field supervisor.  I cut him off to explain that this was a quality assurance test, that his screener did well and that we recognized their office as being quite resourceful.  He thanked me and then inquired as to when bonuses for the first quarter of 2012 would be paid.  I told him to call the fulfillment group that handles such payroll and human resources issues and gave him the phone number to the FCC.

No, I really don't have a lot of time on my hands but did that feel good, LOL!

They just  started  calling me  from this  number, a man,  with  a  very  rude  attitude  left a  message  in the  answering machine,  mentioning  my name  and  gave  an  extension number  to contact  him,  he called  both  numbers,  the  cell  and  my home  early  in the  morning that  I  was  still  sleeping  because  was  studying  until  3 or  4 am...the  reference  name  was  NBC, I  do not  think to call  him  back because  that  is  not  a  serious  form  to  contact   anyone  even  for  collecting  a  debt...The  caller (a man)  with  an african american  accent  just  asked  for  my name  and did  not leave  any message,  so   if  he  is  seeking  my  information  I  wont  tell  anything  to him... and  will report  it  as  a scam.

This outfit calls once a week, lets the phone ring twice, and hangs up. I guess I'm supposed to be clairvoyant and know what they want, or sitting right by the phone to grab it on the first ring. Not going to happen. Leave a message or quit calling me. 215-244-4200

These people are very beligierent.

I received a call from someone at this number.  They left a messge for me to call them back.  They didn't say what it was in referance to, just that I should call back.  I've made a decision to never reply back to a call if I don't know the person who is calling me, of if they don't let me know in their voicemail message what they are calling about.

They've been calling about once a week - same name from 2008 post "Paul" needs to speak to my ex but when they won't share why -  I wouldn't share anything and they say I'm rude so I hung up.  Then they started calling our cell phones.  REALLY?  hmmm wonder what he owes them?????

They are calling me from this number asking for William and are asking him to call them back at a 1-800 number. I think it is a collection agency that need to not call me and asking for William when I am not William.

They are NCB Management and they ARE a debt collection agency.  But until you are absolutely certain that's who you're talking to, DO NOT give them any information!  Instead, ask for a number where you can call them back.  A scammer will NEVER give a callback number.

They just called me at 9:10 am on Sunday morning. Who calls on Sundays? He left his name and extension and that was it.  I am going to look up information on this Paul guy, no matter who and where he may be from if that is even his real name, and ask him questions about personal address location and company name.

Just got a new phone line from Verizon.

Some company called NCB Management keeps calling 3 times a day looking for a "Willoby Inc"
Going to give it another week then will demand a new number from Verizon.

Same thing they called looking for my ex husband. Have even called my now husbands parents house! I told them it was harrassment and to no longer contact anyone. They need to be shut down, it is extremely unprofessional.

this number calls my home four times a day.please stop calling.they dont give a name just a number.

This is a debt collecting co, however, they were calling for an extended family member that lived with us for a brief moment almost 2 years ago.  They were very cooperative in removing our home and my home office #, as well as our home address.  I'm actually getting used to these calls as we have no debt so we know they're not for us.  Most of the co's are very apologetic when they realize the info they have is incorrect.  I've been more successful in answering the calls lately and giving these co's correct forwarding information for the person they are calling for v. ignoring their calls and hoping they never call back.

received a call from them toady , did not answer, I did receive notice from a montoring service  that they did a hard inquiry on my credit report without my permissiom the day before, have had no contact or letter from them on anything, what is my recourse or damages ?

This company is getting annoying. I have zero debt that I'm behind on or not paying off. I know they are not looking for me so I ignore the calls and blocked the number. It still goes into my voicemail and I have countless messages from them. Somehow they get a good rating with the BBB. I wish they would stop harrassing me.
