I also been getting these calls but they did stop for awhile. Now they call to verify your name and address and the last four digits of your card. And they state they are not asking for my card number because it is illegal but they will send mY walmart card in the mail. Told them no thanks and hung up. But they call me about 5 times a day. Then I finally answer the phone and I already changed my card number. So I agreed to listen. I hung up they called back to ask me what was the name of my ring tone to my cell phone because he wanted to download the song! What a scam.

have been getting calls a couple times a week from this number as well as others offering me a walmart giftcard. sounds like a scam. when i said i didnt want it - they asked why. i told them to take me off the list but they didnt.

I just received a call from this phone number. First, he was speaking in an unusually deliberate way. He mentioned something about my Visa card, and I began to question him about the purpose of the call. I took the offensive and asked him to get the the point.  He hung up.

I received a call from this number.  The strange thing was, the caller asked for my daughter by name and said he was calling about her mastercard (and correctly recited the last 4 digits of my mastercard).  Since my daughter is underage, I knew something wasn't right. When pressed, he said he was from Avalon.  My daughter ordered a bumpit online recently and used my credit card; this is absolutely the only way they could have got the information to link her name with my credit card.

I also got calls from this # soon after ordering bumpits online for a gift. I have yet to answer one yet and talk to them. They always call when I am at work.

This # calls me repeatedly.  I do not answer because I always check a number before answering it.

I've received several calls from 202 area codes and this 231 number. I usually ignore, but my hubby decided to answer. She said she was with Avalon and she wanted to thank me for using my credit card then she rattled off the last 4 digits of my credit card. My hubby questioned why she was calling so early on a Sunday morning.She said her name was Amanda Lopez with Avalon and left another number for me to call her back. I ignored the message and will call my bank to notify them.

I just started getting calls from this number today. I finally picked up after the third call because I thought, Oh, well it might be from a sweapstake I entered.  Well, it wasn't.  There was a guy on the the line and he said my name and I said, "Yes?".  He said I'm calling about your Visa card. I said, "I don't have a Visa card." (I lied) then, he hung up.  So I ran a Google search on AVALON MOB MKTG, which was what showed up in my Caller ID, along with the number 1-231-732-2642 and I was directed to this web site.
    I started reading all the stories about the snuggies and was wondering what in the world is a snuggie.  So, I did a Google search on snuggie and turned around to glance at my bathroom window where my snuggie is hanging temporarily as a curtain. Don't get me wrong, I love my snuggie, it was just the first thing handy to grab. LOL Isn't that terrible?  So, there it is. It's a Snuggie conspiracy!!!
    Sorry, I couldn't resist.  Setting all pun aside, I bought my snuggie months ago with my Visa debit card, but I closed that account when monies were being taken out by unknown entities.  So people, I would close my account, especially if it's a Visa debit because that's your checking account and they can get a lot of money before you realize it's gone.
    Fortunately for me Bank of America has a fraud department and they will put the money back in while they are investigating for you.  Not all banks are the same, so you'd have to call your bank to see if they have a fraud department. All you have to do is fill out the paperwork they send you and send it back to them.  
    As far as credit cards go, I know the first $50.00 is your responsibility, but that's as far as my knowledge goes with credit cards because I've never had that problem happen with one.  
    Next time they call, I will play around with them and see what they're up to.  So, stay tuned.

I've gotten calls from several different numbers, but this is the number where there was actually a person.  Having read up the day before about this scam, I was prepared.  He started with "Is this Paul", and I replied with "Who is this", he told me "Christian".  I thought that this was a strange name for a man that had a very strong foreign accent.  He then asked if I had a credit card that ended in xxxx and I asked "why".  He then started into his speech and as soon as I heard "$25 Walmart Gift Certificate" I just started to talk over him, telling him that I've already heard about their scam and that my number was registered with donotcall.gov and that they were to stop calling.  As I was hanging up he was already in his "We understand sir, but..." speech.

I then checked, only to find out that apparently when I had my number changed a year ago, I'd forgotten to register the new number with donotcall.gov.  I have since done that and I highly recommend everyone do that.  Also read about how it works and your responsibilities.

No idea how they got all this info.

I started getting these calls several months ago and put myself on the Do Not Call Registry soon after the calls stopped....Today I started getting the calls again. I don't know who is calling because they only let my phone ring once or twice.....i'm lucky i can block these calls but for everyone else i know how frustrating it is to get these calls at 8/9 am.....good luck and how can they keep doing this?

Just got a call from this same number.  "Won a $25. gift certificate to Walmart, just have to pay $1. for shipping."  I hung up but I find it interesting that I ordered Snuggies for my granddaughters for Christmas, online, and I see several other people did too.  Has anyone called Walmart to complain?  Maybe they could stop these calls.

I called them back after they called me. There is a prompt that allows you to be removed from their calling list. I hope it works.

They keep calling me too and I already told them I was not interested. What can we do about these people?

This people are so anoying they have call me about eight times consecutively and will not stop calling even though i asked them not to call!!!!
