I was contacted by Lucci Verrati from Match.com today.  I became suspicious when he said he wanted me to contact him through his personal email since he could not access dating sites from work, even though this was against Match policy.  He said he had been a fund manager for 35 years.  I felt uncomfortable with this, combined with the fact that his English was not that of someone who might have been in this country for 35 years.  Also, he mentioned his daughter signed him up for Match.  The picture fits the description mentioned here.  I googled him and nothing came up.  Glad I looked into this.  Thanks.

This is just an FYI, in case you are interested.  On Nov. 21, 2014 I found a site called scamwarners.com listing "Another Match.Com Scam & TTNT-Finance Scam."  I did not register to post a comment about Jamie Abbadelli and Transword Investment International.  It is the identical scam; posts are from 2012.  On page 8 of this topic, Scamwarners states that it "is a forum that has been set up to bring awareness to the public about the various forms of online scams.  We are a 100% volunteer organization."  Scam Warners Partner websites are:

I tried to register on Male-Scammers.com (www.male-scammers.com/internet-scams-and-fraud-reports) but unsubscribed after about a week of not being able to sign in as a registered member to check out Jamie Abbadelli and Transword.  I did report his name and old UK phone # to whocallsme.com.

A new day is here again;one of the days that I wake up and the first thing that comes into my mind is to check my email and see if you have written me. Most time I panic with fear of not being disappointed but at the end it will turn out that your email is there and the fear disappears for happiness to return. You are just the person that I want to be with even without meeting you yet. This little period of email communication is enough for me to say so and I can say it again and again and even louder.
Over the last few days, it's been wonderful, I never expected to feel this way nor actually miss  you in this way, experiencing life with knowing you even without meeting  each other  yet. You are wonderful to me. You make me really happy and even though we are apart, I know this. stupidly I gave him my cell number but its been blocked when I did a search for this man it indicated he was in his fifties this man is close to 70 and there is no one that fits his description in a Google search please be careful on these sites and it was match.comif there's any suspicion block the emails and block the phone numbers I hope his text messaging stops. when text messaging is too frequent one after the next after the next its not normal no one interested in you will constantly text you all the time and you haven't even spoken to him be careful thank you

I have been suspicious of this guy from Match.com. Anyone heard of this guy- Perry -Butler Dominic. Kind of the same story...born in Palermo Italy. Daughter lives there, widowed for 10 years and works at She'll Investment International as a fund manager. Has anyone heard this before?

He is using the name Fred Hanks with me. Pretty much the same story about his son and father. Vanguard has  never heard of him. I am going turn over all my information over to the FBI.

I have been talking to this man since April of last year. Last e-mail from him was on 12-26-2014.  He said he had a near fatal accident and been in the hospital for over 2months and someone hacked his old e-mail account.  I have had several phone calls and I definitely think I was talking to 2 different men.  I have two phone numbers for him-one in US and one in Uk. There is no way one man could pull these scams off all by his self. I doubt I will hear another word from him as I sent him a very nasty e-mail today. This is the second creep I have met on Match. Com. Be very careful.

I received an almost identical message on December 31, 2014 from a Gerald Fabio at fabiogeraldm@yahoo.  I met him on Match.com. Here is a copy of the 1st letter that he wrote back to me, after I responded to his request to chat on his personal email.

His profile said he was 39 yrs old, but was looking  for women aged 50 to 70 with incomes starting at $75,000 and up. That was a red flag for me, and I asked him why so old, and with high incomes.  He stated that he trusted older women and the income part was an error.  I continued to speak with him, as I am 50 and make under $25,000 a year at the moment, which is stated on my profile. He claimed that he is a US citizen, a widower of 5 years, and an orphan. He sent very handsome pictures of what looked to be a US soldier. When I told him that his letters didn't sound like a typical american, he said that it was because of all the time that he had spent in Germany.  He had an answer for each of my doubts, but would not answer most of my questions.  Instead he would send another love letter.

He then wanted my name, address, and phone number so that he could send me a package containing his valuables and papers, as his post was under attack and it was no longer safe.  I sent the information, as it was no more than you can find online about me.  I then received an email from a fraser.simon@diplomats.com wanting a copy of my identification to accept and insure the package.  He didn't ask for any money, but I'm sure that would be next.  The .com was a dead giveaway and I not only did not send a copy of my i.d, but reported the incident to Match.com, my local police department, and the FBI.

He never gave me a phone number, and said that he could not Skype or use Viber, because they were not allowed to have smart phones on the base.  As I said, an answer for everything!

He seems to keep changing his name, his age, and his story, but the letters are much the same.  If we each post one of his letters, maybe we can help keep someone else from falling into his trap.

ok...as of this morning he is alive & well evidently cuz he called from the UK... oh, & Momma still alive in Italy as well but in hospital...she is 88 u know...she gave us her blessing after he showed her my pic...& told him to stop traveling so much to spend time with me ...  daughter 26 going to school in Italy for pilot..blah...bla... same crap I read in the other posts...was suspicious when he sent an email saying Dear Denise..(that is not me)...I called him on it & he said his email was hacked...
Stupidly have been talking & emailing since beginning Dec... His name now: Aldo Jerome Grondeux is a Mutual Funds Manager with Capital Investments.. based out of UK...he lives here at 217 E7th St NY,NY 10009.. so he says it is the apt the company sets up for him...

Widowed 10yrs from Angela, Dad & son died in car accident in California...that's when Momma & daughter went back to Italy...so he is all alone in states & only works.. had afew dates thru out 10 yrs until he saw me on Match (cuz his daughter put him on there) & fell in love with my profile...but it was his last day on so he would email instead...dummy me..
So I am sure he will be calling or emailing me in the morning... he is calling from UK cuz we got disconnected (bad reception there he says) & I rang him back.. which cost me since I don't have international calling on my cell... like $30.00... & I checked my AT&T bill & it was on there from UK....
So I guess I either play along or tell him I found someone else that's here for me...lol..... yes he must be stopped..
oh he even had given my cell # to daughter so she can call to get to know me... I said no ..not til I met him...

I guess I will join in with the rest of you ladies. I too received an email from the same guy guy used the name Martino Dutch Santino. His mother and daughter live in Italy. His father and only son died in car accident. Really the same M O. He was married 26 yrs and she died. Comes off very spiritual, and intense with the compliments, although we've  only  emailed a couple times.

He never answers any questions you send him. His emails are pontificating and all about himself. He started mailing me Jan 5, 2015.

So glad I googled his name, and you have all given a beware.

Oh I got the very same crap from a Nick Hoffman pics and every thing wife died then father and son he was in Texas then had to go to uk then mother died then went to dubai then needed my address he contacted me through our time .com . I caught on fast iam still playing with this guy trying to figure out where he from oh I now have over  8 million in shares in premire lol  now the way it's so pose to go I will get another letter to off shore bank needs my checking ac count number to have my shares sold and wire me money yea like iam gonna give this idiot any information I did but a gut a couple months ago from nigria  who was a student there working for small wages playing a  army guy pics and all fought him in lie confronted him place all the info on twitter and face book his response was not nice lol they try and prey on lonely people. Oh and I paid  our time .come to put this idiot in my life   Lol   Is there any laws against  this

Ladies, he goes by the name of Bob Woodruff. Saw him on EHarmony. Scammed me for money! Be careful, romantic scammer!! Also goes as James Rossi. Careful ladies! Went from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Indonesia and last heard from Kenya!!!! Beware don't send money or open any bank accounts!!!

Looks like he as struck again, but changed his name to Robert Marco. Same story about being a Fund manager, grade school in Germany, masters in Scotland.   He gave me an address here in Atlanta,  We have been writing since just before Christmas.  Just got email this morning about his mother dying in Italy.  I feel so stupid, I had been wary from the beginning but he is such an elegant writer,  I have my emails saved also.

He is emaiing me as Peter Giovanni Corrado.  Dead giveaways on Match...widower, wife died of cancer, daughter with grandma, stint in Aberdeen Scotland.  Block him.  Today is 1/15/2015 and he is still around  professing his love.

I am currently on Match and also have gotten emails from a Antonio Logioia. On his profile(which he said expired) he was 60 years old, white hair, and quite good-looking. He does not want to talk on the phone, only text of email. Is this the guy that scammed you?
