That is a great idea!  In the last week I have gotten atleast 6-10 calls per day from them.  I called the number and a message comes on to opt out.  Well I did that twice and they still call.  I did get on the phone with Tom from that company and asked him to please take me off their call list and do not call again.  He told me he would and continued to call me for the next 2 days, all hours of the day.  I caught him on the phone today and screamed at him like a crazy lunatic, LOL.  I had to go to my Verizon account and block the number.

Calling house phone then turn around and call my cell phone!  How did they get my cell phone number?  I only give that to close friends.  Called back, got a recording and it started out by saying "thank you for calling back if you would like removed from our call list and not be offered our promotions, press1"  I did exactly that!  We'll see if it STOPS them!

Leo did that actually work?  I've tried daily this last week to get them to take me off their list, and had them call back 3-4 more times in the same day that I asked to be removed.  Added them to my blocked caller list on Verizon.  We'll see if the calls pick back up again in 3 months...

the caller does not answer but when I return call there a message to press one if I would like to be taken off the call list which takes 72 hours to activate

Freaking company called me 3 times on my cell.  I finally picked up and they wanted to sell me a home security system.  Was nice when I told him I already have one but I hate telemarketers on my cell.

Me too - I labelled them as "Spam" on my contact list...

this number called me 4 times on oct 25th and then again the very next day.

The Do Not Call registry does [***].  It is a waste of time to even sign up on.  
I got a call from this number it came up as New A Co on my caller id.  I answered and said Hello once, then when I didn't get a response back I said Hello again.  Then they hung up.  Now thay are on my blocked list.  If the stupid people call and don't want to talk to me then they don't deserve to be calling me.

Called me in Tennessee from #360-529-6104 Olympia, Washington (State) New A Company - 1:30 PM EST Monday, 11/7/2011. Picked up on 3 rings. No one there. On the do not call list. Filed a complaint with the National Do Not call registry.
On 11/08/2011 at 1:26 PM EST same call, same number, same no one on the line. An A typical profile of a scam by robo call. We'll see how the feds handle it. .

I have received phone calls within the past hour from the same company, identified on caller ID only as NEW A CO.  I have respectfully asked to be removed from their call list and continue to get calls.  What can be done to STOP this harrassment?

several calls from them. they asked what my income was and what type of credit i had.i told them that my credit was really bad and my income was very small but they keep calling any way.i am on the do not call list but that doesnt mean anything.

I received a solicitation from 253-246-8552 today, and as others have indicated, they were trying to solicit installation of a home security system. After talking with them, my wife realized they had found out our home security system was uninstalled - and they called to have an appointment with us this week (the week of Thanksgiving). I've called the police to have extra patrols of our home just in case they are casing our home.

Go to the bottom of this page and click on the link for page 1. Scroll down to Phxazguy's second message, where he gives the instructions to set up Google Voice. It requires a computer to set up, and what you get is a phone number that all of your calls are routed to. You create a contact name and list all of your annoying caller's numbers to that contact. You then program the website to block them. What they will receive when they call again is the recorded message beginning with three tones that says your number is no longer in service. It also programs their robodialers to kick your number out of their system. If you receive a voicemail, it shows up as an email. Everything else is blessed silence.
I've got it, it's free and it works great. Sounds like all of you could use it.

I get numerous calls from NEW A Co despite being on no call list

I picked up the phone, they asked for a name, I aked who's calling and they hung up immediately.
Connected to some kind of scam.
