Started getting calls this morning, 8:11 am, two  more since then.  How do we get this to stop?

Just got a call from  253-246-8553 . They didn't leave a message. I of course didn't answer. Glad that I didn't! I'm almost tempted to spend the $5 pr month extra on my cell phone bill for call blocking services!

caller ID only showed location ask Kent, Washington. Didn't answer, they didn't leave a message.

Why are u calling our business?

So this is interesting. I'm sure it was a bot-dialed call to our fax number. When I answered, I got a computer voice telling me this was my last chance to get a reduction in my student loan. Press 1 now if I'm interested. When I pressed 1 it rang many times then went to a voicemail inviting me to leave a message.
What is really scary is that my daughter just applied for and received a student loan! I hope it is just coincidental!
Seems to me they are scammers since this topic is not anywhere related to other topics from this number.

My call was regarding - reducing my student loan !!!!
When i asked the name of the company - they hung up.
They called a business number - most infuriating.
When i called the number - it got  Pccifitel - advising that this was a disconnected number.

Transcript of the voicemail left at 5:36 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 20, 2012:

"...percent, press 1 on your phone now. There is no cost to see if you qualify and only takes a minute. Again, press 1 to find out more or press 2 to be removed from our list. I called the number back and it was a disconnected number.
