I called this business and i hung up on them because of a weird accent. When she call back, 26669-6687 appeared on my caller ID.. I said "Who are you?"  She said somebody call looking for Eugene and then hung up on me..ha ha ha. . I've read all these responses and have come to a conclusion...  I have a google voice hookup that I've also got lashed to a wet loop local telephone number that I got free with the internet I buy from my local phone company.  The wet loop is the callout phone of a string of phones that include the wet loop, google chat, my cellphone until last Saturday, and a magic jack number.  On top of that, I've created a phone using an OBI110 module, that allows me to create a phone by jacking an ethernet cord out of either my DSL modem or the router I have attached to it.  The OBI110 number is the same number as the google voice number.  Google voice can be orchestrated to ring every phone number you have, which is how I use it.  I have never until I got the OBI110 going a week ago, gotten traditional caller IDs to work with any of these phones.  I mainly kept magic jack to use as a caller ID.  The cost of MJ for an entire year is cheaper than paying for POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) caller ID from the local phone company.  Anyway, at 6:38 p.m. tonight (Thurs, Dec. 15, CST) I got a call on all of these services at once.  The 2 caller IDs on the OBI110 I was watching when the call came in, registered no number on the caller IDs at all.  Calls to those numbers usually DO REGISTER on the caller ID.  I've only had the OBI110 phone and its caller ID working for a week, so this is new experience for me.  I walk over to the Magic Jack Phone in a PC and discover the 266696687 number as the caller ID.  I note the number is one digit short of the usual 10 number US phone number.  I read all the information from all of you.  I've come to this conclusion:  26669-6687 is indeed the anonymous caller ID triggered on a magic jack caller ID ONLY!  I received that call on two other caller IDs and it didn't register that number, didn't  even say anonymous..  But I suspect it would have if I'd had a plain old POTS service phone and caller ID hooked to it.  I tried calling the magic jack phone with my cell using the OBI110 dial out number. with a  *67 ahead of it in the number string, which on a conventional phone, would have masked the phone out number..  At the end of dialing those 3 digits, I got a new dial tone and dialed the full ten digits of the magic jack after it.  The  magic jack rang but the *67 did not mask my cell phone number at all.  My conclusion: *67 doesn't work conventionally with an OBI110 created phone, as it does on a conventional POTS phone. The OBI110, incidentally, is a classic internet VOIP phone, that uses Google Chat as its software interface with the internet.  The 26669-6687phone number is not a big deal, you guys, its the Magic Jack equivalent of anonymous.  Also, no single caller is seeking out you magic jack owners EITHER!  Instead, this is a series of callers who have gotten your individual magic jack phone numbers in a variety of individual separate ways.  The phones calling your MJ have one quality in common: the caller IDs on them are blocked.  And, yes, typically, vulture bill collectors often have  an anonymous number block in their string to prevent you seeing their phone number.  But so do many phone companies, even when it is illegal to have one as it is in California. I have a friend who runs a company in California, and when he calls me from there, the caller ID is blocked.  I believe the mystery is solved.  None of you would have seen the number above if you hadn't been called on your Magic Jack Phones with the caller's phone caller ID BLOCKED!

I have gotten several calls from this number on my CELL PHONE. I don't answer the call, and they don't leave a message. I now have this number saved in my contact list with a SILENT RINGTONE selected.

We also got a call from this number 2 kids on there asking for Raechel have no clue who she or his is and it was kids they called back three times. I unplugged my phone and checked my messages later and they left no messages.

harrassing calls very annoying

Ida - Your assessment is spot on. This is a great post. As a work around: I have added this number to my Contacts and used the name "Private Name". I've also talked to MJ about the issue. At least now you see the weird number and a name equal to "Private Name" when a call arrives.

I would try adding zeroes to the beginning of the number to make it a ten-digit number, then try blocking it. If you don't have a blocker, see my post on whocallsme for (305)918-2338 for further information.

I got this call when I was opening things I had bought at the store and stuipidly didn't look at the number. I said Hello. The guy said Hello. I said who's this he said Who's this. I said I don't know who you are who are you? He said Jose. Then he Said is your Mom home I said no because she wasn't. He said is your Dad home? I said no. I said why are you asking me all the questions? He said, Are you home alone? I hung up. It took 38 secs. to say all that. I also had MagicJack. He does this stuff to little kids. He called 3 times.

Recently got a call from the number  26669-6687.  Caller ID said anonymous.  Called the number back and  the people on the other end didn't say a word, but there was the sound of an office or something in the background.  This call was also to my MajicJack number.

I too just received a call from this number.. The weird thing is they asked for my son by name and for which I replied are you in his class? who are you and they hanged up and called me a [***]!!

Just got a call from this person.  He had a thick accent, possibly european, and stated he was from US Pharmacy.  When I said I never bought anything from them he hung up.  since it is not a complete number I could not call back.  I'm marking them a telemarketer in my phone and never answering it again.

Received a call on my Magic Jack this evening.  No message - just the weird number 26669-6687.
Someone said it was Wi-Max on another look-up.  Shrug.  I wasn't here - so I really don't care - may start shutting off the Magic Jack though when I'm not available to answer it.

Just got a call from this garbage number and I saw other posts on this and other websites where users said they have magicjack and when they get a voicemail message to email, it gives the true number of the caller. I just checked and this is not the case for me this time around. My email just states I got a call from "anonymous".

Listened to the number and woman with no accent gave my wife's first name, stated she was from fedex, said they have our street name but no address,provided a tracking number and to call 1800gofedex. Who sends something fedex without an address anyway, and how did fedex get my number and why did they call anonymous. Decided to not call, but rather go online directly to fedex website & use the tracking number on their website. Well, there is something there waiting for us but why would I give my address if they didn't have it already??? If they want it to get to us, they'd better get that right in the first place.
