constant calls from this number on 1/15/2012 caller doesn't say anything or else just continually asks who I am. I refuse to answer her as i would assume since she called me she shouldn't have to ask who I am. Tracer says calls triangulate from Old Bridge, New Jersey area

I think its a pick your own number ,one of those so called vanity numbers may-be. This same number comes up while I'm talking to two certain people. Could also be a person that just listens to us talk, as the whole time I was talking on my magicjack to my person I called. My call record show  the 26669-6687 shows it was on my line to, at the same time and amount of time this number shows it was connected to my phone line . It shows that it hung up when I hung up from my person I was talking to.kinda creepy ah

I also think it could be some nutcase that wants attention and what a better way of getting attention look at all the post he/ she is getting to read from us. The more we talk about it the better he/she likes it.as he/she probably gets a big rush with each complaint. May-be the best way to put a stop to this  nutcase is to ignore it and just block the idiot.Just might work as these kind of sickos  thrive on attention  and we the nervous ninny's  are feeding him/her. I would like to know if this is just a Canadian problem or is it world wide. If as some of you have said he/she knows your family names he/she must have a way of listening to your conversations. If he/she is listening to us talk it is very serious, as some of you have said he /she has your address. This is considered to be  stalking in United States of America  and in Canada and  you can be traced and put in JAIL for a long time in our countries. YOU now with all our GOVERNMENTS tracking  info we will get him/her if you continue to invade our private lives. Please pass this on Kat. I think as a previous write said, 266696687 translates to "anonymous" on your telephone dial. It looks like this is magic jack's way of identifying an anonymous call.

MagicJack and YMax are fully aware of these harrassing calls and cover them up by providing a phone number that translates into anonymous. Differently worded they conspire with these harrassers, including pedophiles.

Received a call yesterday morning from this number and answered it.  It was a man named "Scott" who was calling about a survey on Women's Fashions.  I agreed to the survey and asked how many questions were involved, was told "just a few."  

So I proceeded to answer questions about the following: 1)which length of skirt of dress do you prefer? 2) do you wear jeans?  yes, OK, loose or tight? 3) what is your opinion of halter tops? 4) tube tops? 5)do you wear bathing suits? 6) how many do you own? This went on and I was answering absentmindedly.  

The last question was a little mumbled, so I asked him to repeat it.  Are you ready for this??? he said "When you wear a bathing suit, do you shave? If so, is it your legs? legs and body? or everything?" I didn't think I heard right so asked him to repeat it.  When I said what do you mean "everything" he said, "do you shave your bush?"  

At this point I hung up, infuriated.  I told my husband about this immediately about the call. Needless to say, it upset me so much that I couldn't sleep.  Just a few minutes ago, that same number appeared on my MagicJack again so I answered it on the speakerphone so my husband could hear it.  It was the SAME GUY!!! I screamed in the phone "Are you that same pervert who called me yesterday?"  He then said no, sorry to bother you and hung up.  

Now I know to NEVER EVER answer a call with that number on it.  INFURIATING!

The company is Wi-Max Communications. They are here in the states and international. They run tests to see how many numbers are supported through internet directly (probably within a certain call group, demigraphic or a geographic area.) They deal mainly exclusively with wireless microwave technology. When they call you, their system runs scans across the pbx to determine how many calls terminate to wi-fi, cellular, land line or any possible other forms of communications they are mapping. They do that to create a feasability report or quality of service tests on their supported wireless systems

i got a call from this number just a few minutes ago and luckily the caller left a message. Although it did appear on the magicjack that the number is 26669-6687, however on the email it registered as anonymous. The caller identified herself and left her contact number. It was from a healthcare recruiting firm asking me if i can call back about a job opening for a lab director in california. I think this is a legitimate call as i actually forwarded my CV sometime ago to a firm about a job.

Just to let you know that it is a "MANUAL" BLOCKING NUMBER. It happen when someone block their numbers using *67 before their dial you magicjack number; but it show on the Magicjack display as 26669-6687.

If this caller satys long enough until the greeting comes up, we will get and email as a voice mail report from magicjack and it will shows their number.

keep getting a text to my landline from this number saying horriable stuff...my little girl answered it once...evil pure evil...would love to find out whose cell is texting me....i am told they r blocking their number...any suggestions????

Sounds like a scam, they got you're wife's name from some list that is out there and are trying to pull a scam and squeeze you for more information to steal you're identity and stuff.  I do have magic jack and yes this did come threw as a voice mail message.

Don't let it get to you,l just some creepazoid getting his kicks. Sounds like they are running a scam and just being stupid.. The folks doing this are just trying to steal personal information to try and commit identity theft.

my neighbor got a call twice she talked to them today for the second time and knew her address ss number and the whole 9 yards they stated that he was police officer who ever and asked if she will be home from 12-2pm. they would not say what it was for. so I waited with her and no one showed up and then she called PD and they said she is no where on record nor have they are anyone else try contacting her. and that it may be a fraud and next time they call to ask for more information along with badge number and what department they are calling from.

I keep getting it on my magic jack and noticed others with magic jacks seem to get it the most. annoying!

why does this number show up on my magicjack?

While I was away, my wife received calls from this number and she was told he was a Microsoft Certified technician and they had been monitoring the activity on my computer for the past week and that there were numerous malware files on it.  There was no activity on my computer as I was away and my wife is not computer savvy.  He was told to call me and when I asked what company he worked for, he would only say he was a Microsoft Certified Technician.  I finally got from him, after asking 5 or 6 times for the name of his company, Geeks for PCs.  When I Googled this company, there is no such company.  He even went so far as to say I am a customer of theirs.  I have never heard of them in my life.  He then posted a message to my wife saying something like, ..."for $ **** I will clean your PC of all harmful files so it will no crash. She was on the telephone with me, so I told her to turn the computer off and that would be that.  I should also mention, we use the computer for our Magicjack while we are living in Florida, and we should notify Magicjack  of this so they can monitor it and start litigation against these people if they are comprimising their services. Major scam folks.  Hang up on these idiots and do not let them in.
