Call from BCBS verification department, wanted to update my address, ummm weird he didn't say his name, the more weird thing was he had an old address.

Exact same issue for me. They have my address and birthday. I actually have BCBS, but thankfully figured out it was a scam before revieling much info. I’m extremely curious what kind of scam this is, given what they already know...

Asked for Brayden, foreign accent.
Did not respond
He asked for Brayden again
Did not respond
He hung up
Blocked the number

Caller ID said 'DONT ANSWER SPAM' . Bless the person who hacked their system and changed the name to Don't Answer Spam! I blocked the number.

Says you need to update bcbs

Called twice asking for a person by the first name only.  Claiming to be Blue Cross/Blue Shield.  Person on the other end has foreign accent.  Would not tell me last name of person they wanted to speak with.

Foreign man with a heavy accent  would not tell me why he was calling just kept saying he was.fro. an insurance company over ans over again

Called twice I answered the second time for fun. Typical updating BCBS info had my recent address new within 6mos. I finally got the name of the company that is paying his salary. Max RX I told him to get a job he could be proud of and stop scamming innocent old folks.

Calls every day and doesn't leave a message.  From Canada.  Must be spam

Sounded like English was second language, when I told him that he had called my business phone, he hung up immediately.

Called my personal cell after trying my business phone. Hung up, thanks to the input from here.

I got a call from this phone number and would like to know who it is

Said they were from Blue Cross and waned to verify info.  They already had my name, phone, address, and date of birth.  Caller I.D. said DONTANSWERSPAM.

Same happened to me today he knew my name address and asked me to update my primary doctor's name and I did! Then he asked if I went to the doctor in the last 6 mos to For back pain and I said I don't remember. He says he was going to send a cream to my doctor and upon my doctors approval I was going to get a sample of that cream. He offered to send me other samples and I said no thank you. He also said he was going to send me an updated insurance card.

Just weird !

Well, you just helped someone commit insurance fraud.

got a phone call today on my personal phone. The caller introduced him self as Frank from BCBS and needs to verify my info. He told mine adress, , my correct date of birth, my primary care doctors name and address and then started to question about my pain... the caller had Pakistani/Indian accent. As soon as I have asked him to give me his 800 number and the extension, so I can him a call back, he hang up. The fact that some one who is scamming knows your address, DOB, your doctors name and address is spooky!

Called asking for insurance information on insurance. I explained I work for Dept of Health and this is a scam and not to call this number again. Barely speak English.  He said he was not a scammer.  I laughed and hung up

I just got the same call about blue cross blue shield...
I confirmed phone number and address then remembered I don't have that insurance anymore.  They asked for a Dr.'s name that I had seen, I told them I didn't have one and then I asked if I could call them right back to verify. *click*

Said they were blue cross and wanted to update my medical information, verified my address, doctor name. I said I don't have insurance,  she said alright goodbye.
