I was digging into the number that this call came from and found this page.  My experience: I got a long, long voice mail message on my mobile, starting with an ad for the Kung Fu Panda DVD at Walmart which asked me to press Star to receive a text message when it was released, followed by an obviously synthesized voice asking me to vote on whether "dark-haired guy" or "red-haired guy" was funnier by pressing a key.  Both then repeated.

I'm on T-Mobile.  I thought telemarketing to cell phone numbers was illegal...?

Got the call today, didn't answer, and a blank voicemail was left.  how are they getting our numbers?  i have at&t...

Robotic male voice saying "James is sending you a message. Press one to hear it"

Received a call from this number.  Most of it is inaudible, but ends with "press 1 to here this message", then it disconnected.  This call came to my CELL phone.  I know it is not DirecTV since I have had DirecTV for many years, but not the cell phone.

If this robo-dialer is only dialing cell phones, we need to do a trace on them and find out who is behind it.  They "might" be just illegally telemarketing, but it is sounding more like a system to chew up minutes causing overages.

All these comments saying I got a call from this number are not helpful. What is helpful is info on how to stop it. Thanks to those who posted info on that. The DNC list doesn't work in this situation because you need a business name  to be able to report it. They get these number using auto-dialers that dial random numbers until one works. Not super complicated.

i just got a call asking me if i wanted to pay for a limo to get somewhere or get there myself.

I just got the same call and reported it.  I called back to see who it was and an automated voice said "Welcome to Hey Cosmo" and asked me to wait while it got my records.  I hung up because I was unsure about what it really wasdoing.  I googled "Hey  Cosmo" it it brought up this site.

Just got a call, pretty [***] service.  Said something like "<UNINTELLIGIBLE> is sending you a Hey Cosmo Blast, press 1 to hear it."  When I didn't press anything it hung up.  Maybe it was someone I knew, maybe not, because the fools who put it together didn't test it enough to know the first word out of it's digital mouth wouldn't be very likely to be understood, and they didn't offer a repeat.

I checked out the web site above and it looks like this is some moron's idea of a service. Just sounded like more phone spam.  WEB 2.0 LOSER.

Just got a call from these idiots on my cell phone, which I have never had a spam call on before because only a few people, no businesses, have my number. I did *67 and called them back from my cell, but either it didn't block it, or they play a message anyways, because a male robot said "This is cosmo- please wait while we retrieve your account information and playback your message." Then a female robot started in on Walmart stuff. Hung up. Went to cosmo site and found area to block my phone from receiving their calls, will see if it worked. I have a Tracfone, so these calls use up my minutes. Stupid morons.

Got an automated call from Cosmo from "your friend Joe" about two cars. 'Press one for Corvette, two for Ferrari.'  I hung up on them.  HERE'S WHAT TO DO: First, go to www.heycosmo.com and have your number blocked.  Then go directly to https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx if your number is on the national Do Not Call list.  Be sure to enter your number that the company called, the company number (302-336-7401) and Arsinal Interactive, Inc. as the company name (HeyCosmo is just a service that Arsinal Interactive, Inc. owns the intellectual property right to provide).  This is a crock that this company should get away with this.  Go block your number and report them to the national DNC list, it is our responsibility as consumers to fully and thoroughly report bad business practices.  Oh and if you get another Hey Cosmo call, report them to the better business bureau!  Taking action is so simple online, it is our civic duty despite any potential nay-sayers with a vested interest in this annoying marketing attemp.

I figured it out I think. It's this silly web service that you can use to send a message or question to a single person or a group of friends.

The PROBLEM with the service is that the sign up is confusing. I thought it was going to give me the chance to send a message to my girlfriend Lisa.

Well, my apologies to everyone in Houston named Lisa who answered... At least it wasn't too terribly ilicit... Suffice it to say, I got no takers on my "lets make out" offer...

Missed call, Sunday afternoon...message was just static.

I called back the number and the voice mail menu mentioned "hey cosmo blast", with a little research I came up with this link to get your number blocked:

Just got a call fron the same # didnt answer... No voice mail... yet (5 min)

Sun Nov 16....Got the call this afternoon, didn't recognize # so I didn't answer.  Left the before mentioned long, no content voice mail. This is on a Sprint cell phone.
