I get one call everyday from this number.  Today someone answered when I picked up the phone and said hello.  The person hung up.  

What good does it do to report this number here if nothing is done about it?  I have reported these annoying calls several times.

Had the same scenario, they have been calling me for weeks and I never answer. Today I did, and it was the "You owe us $499.00 for yellow page ads you never cancelled." Of course, like an idiot I argued with them, told them I never had this, don't call, bla bla bla...and then I asked to speak to a manager. And they hung up. Of course, the number cannot be called.

My experience is a little different, and I'm not sure what's going on.  I received a call from this number and the caller left a message on my machine.  The caller was a woman who only spoke in Chinese or some other Oriental language.  She rattled on for about a minute and then hung up.  I have no idea what it was about.

Just got a call from these guys. I answer the phone with the name of the company, and because there was no one answering on the other end, I repeated again and she said "I know. Who am I speaking to"? I answered, then she hung up.

Received a call this morning to cancel our yellow pages online ad or it would automatically renew today. They would send an invoice for something over $500 but we didn't have to pay it, just review it and if it was not in order return it to them. They had no record of who authorized the ad in the first place and said the first year was complimentary and this was the end of the second year. I told her our company has a policy in place of no advertising with yellow pages online and please do not send any papers, cancel whatever but we will not be paying for anything regardless.........Hello......Hello.......Gee! we must have been disconnected.  :)

Received numerous calls throughout the day from this bogus company to cancel our yellow pages online ad or it would automatically renew today. I told the representative on the other line that this was a SCAM, and I was informed by them that no this isn't a "SCAM," and that they wanted to connect me with their cancellation department.
They would send an invoice for something over $599.99 but we didn't have to pay it, just review it and if it was not in order return it to them. I just received same call, girl with very heavy accent, re:yellow pages cancellation.  Ask who she was, she hung up.  I tried calling back and got nothing.  No ring, no trouble or busy signal.  Look out

I got the same call from the same number, indian girls complete with managers and supervisors. I was told that I was getting billed an additional $600.00 because I was not being coperative at all. I knew I never signed up for any Yellow Pages. If I had, seems like I would of been billed by now, since I supposedly signed up in 2009. Plus they would have a credit card on file when I made the order. A bunch of scammers. I hate crooks.

I received a call from this number about the cancellation of my yellow page ad. Was told I needed to
speak with another rep. to cancel and I could only answer yes or no, if I asked any questions they would hang up on me and he would have to call me back...He also said they would be sending me
the paperwork and an invoice for $599.00 and I had 28 days to look it over...Yeah Right!!

When I pressed him for the full name of his company all he would say was"popular yellow pages". I
told him it was all BS and nothing more than a scam..He said no, you have been a customer for the
two years....When I again said it was a scam and I wasn't buying it, he hung up on me.....

these people won't give up and are rude.

Just got a call from same Indian guy (Shane) asking to confirm cancellation of my yellow pages ad.  He said we would be billed $599 for the last 12 months.  I told him to call my corporate office to handle this matter and he said he already did.  Well I told him to call them back and tell them that I said I'm not authorized on the account he just hung up.  Tried to call back to no avail.  Next time I will know exactly what to say him.

I think it is Midland Credit Management..it is a collection agency. They call me several times a day from a "Out of area" phone. No number. I never answer as we go round and round. They claim I owe a debt from years  ago but have never sent requested verification of such debt..they just keep calling and harassing. At first he ( a guy with a India accent) tried to get me to tell him my SS number and I refused. There is no way to stop them I am finding out an I am considering changing my phone number ..(it is unlisted ). I tried to call the latest number 347-418-0489 but I either get a busy signal or the phone gets quiet after dialing and I feel like they are collecting data as to my whereabouts..so I hung up. I see someone said they were asking about SS numbers for confirmation..that's what Midland does..I am also wondering about this latest call as I recently went to the SS office and requested a new SS card..coincidence? I will turn the phone back on and try to catch it next time they call..

Trying to get money for bogus yellow pages listing

Well a man and a woman has been calling me sometimes twice a day. At first I told him he was crazy and I never ordered anything. He said that I owed  $500 for the canceled ad. I told him I never ordered it and proceeding to tell him a few things, which he did not like. Then he said since I am going to be "like that" my fee just went up to $1000. I laughed. Now when they call, I play around with them. They hate it. I told them twice today when they called that I thought I would keep my ad and in fact I wanted to add a big spread. Then they hung up. I have sang to them,  laughed at then, played along with them and told them the owed me money for using my name and business information without my permission. They always hang up. I just hope that no one has fallen for this SCAM!

They called me and stated that they wanted to verify that I wanted to cancel my yellow page listing. I said, “Sure go ahead and do that”. The guy then asked for my name, I stated that he called me and that he needs to verify with me first – He abruptly hung up the phone when I told him that he wasn’t affiliated with a real company.

Within an hour, received at least 8 calls from a man and a woman at this number within claiming to be from Public Yellow Pages.

The Indian sounding "manager", "Karen Sanders" claimed at first the $599 bill was for 2010 - 2011. They wanted me to confirm acceptance of the invoice in order for it to be mailed out to the previous owner of our business. She messed up the spelling of her own name, saying "Sandre, I mean, ers".  I asked for a return phone number and she gave me this number, listed online as a mobile number from India:  1-928-482-5603. After she transferred me to an American sounding agent, I was pressured to orally accept an invoice for 2009 - 2011. When I pointed out the discrepancy between the years they were trying to charge for and asked her name again, she hung up.

"Karen Sanders" called back about ten minutes later saying I didn't get a confirmation number for canceling the listing and "must accept the invoice" with the next department in order to cancel the listing. The listing on their website showed an incorrect business type. I hung up on her at least 3-4 times.

Then an Indian sounding man called back saying his name was Frank Sanders. Interesting that two Sanders would call immediately after each other. He claimed the company was  www.publicyellowpages.com  When I demanded to have his phone number, he hung up on me.

I have received several calls over the last few weeks from this number.  They don't have a legitimate reason for calling; I've asked them not to call anymore.

They are calling asking for a manager. they then say they talked to a manager a week ago and they said that the manager told them that whoever answers the phone the next time is authorized to make a decision. they keep wanting you to say "yes" to something. the caller is foreign and very hard to understand. they are wanting you to say "yes", to obligate you to something

Someone has called several times "from the YellowPages.com cancellation dept." Today I told the caller they already called and I already told them I do not have an account with Yellow Pages. He then told me he wanted to f&*% my a$$!! I tried to call back a few minutes later to find out what company this was, and no one answered the phone (not even a recording).

These people are very busy are't they! Been getting these calls on the company business phone. Same story....we owe the 599.00 for a cancellation of the public yellow pages online. Please, please do not entertain these idiots! Just hang up.
