Someone was posing from AT&T asking me to confirm if we would like to renew or cancel, but when I asked them if I was currently set up for their services, they hung up on me.

I got the same call. I told him. I am not related to the business which he was talking about. He told me. He is going to remove my phone number from the account so nobody will call me again. Then, he told me to act as an assistance for the company when he transfer me to another person or something. Then, I need to say yes. I told him I don't think so. He said you just need to say yes then everything will taking care. I did hang up on him too. He called me back then ask if I hang up on him.

this phone # has called my office several times a week. Since I do not answer # i do not recognize without googling who they are i have been spared the aggravation. THANKS to this web site I answered the phone today to just play with them . Some guy asked to speak to the ofc mgr that would be me...went onto read his script about cancellation...I asked if he was coming to fix my dryer, he said no this was in reference to cancelation...i could barely contain myself. I pretended not to understand anything But that he was coming out to fix my dryer. I was delighted , he hung up. Next time it will be my washing machine or tractor trailer or something that will frustrate them........

Same thing happened to me today.

This company that says it's yellowpages.com is just a pain in the ass. I’ve hung up on them and they have also hung up when their questioned. A scram beyond all scrams. They're looking for stupid people to OK to an invoice payment. Say NO to these Leaches of this world. These are the real terrorist of the world, besides the big banks taking advantage of innocent people. Need to raid the location with a swat team and put them out of their misery.

These idiots have called us more than once and of course when I told him off he hung up. They need a life because I can't imagine anyone that would give out cc  or banking info to some waste that barely speaks English. They may be stupid there but we're not here!

I got a call this morning from this group, claiming to be a rep for the local yellow pages online ad I signed up for 2 years ago. They said I had cancelled the ad and needed to pay the cancellation fee. I told them I didn't have an ad, didn't cancel an ad and wouldn't be paying anything. I was told they had a signed contract. I said, "Great, fax me a copy." They told me they would send it with my receipt. I told them to take me off the call list and if not, my next call will be to the sheriff's office. I was then told that they would forward that info to the supervisor.

FYI - this scam is still going on.  I received a call from this number today about yellow pages cancelation too.  Wish I had the info about a scam ahead of time.  Would have loved to have played along and said that I'd be glad to wire the money immediately.  I'd ask him for his bank account information and see what he said.  if he gave it - then the cops could track these scum bags down in a heart beat.

This man was calling me like 3 months ago; He told me that i need to call a toll free number then agree everything and then he will remove all charge from his system if i give him a confirmation # from the toll free #, now an other man is calling now asking to pay $500.00 now

This guy called and asked if he was speaking with the owner.  I said "No.  Who am I speaking with?"  He hung up.  We've been getting a lot of these calls lately.

I received a call two days in a row... silence on the other end, then hangs up after 15 seconds.

This number keeps call-in Mr, but there is never anyone there. I call it back and get this number isn't in service. Hitting annoyed

Got a call from some Indian guy at this number early this morning on my cell phone, supposedly regarding a yellow pages listing. I told him that I had not ordered anything and that I was not interested and hung up. He called back and I ignored it but after several more calls I answered it to tell him I was going to report him to the authorities. He told me he was going to charge me and that he would continue to call me every day to harass me. Since then he has called me 11 more times today. I reported to the federal do not call list and went online with Verizon to block his butt.

whatever you do DO NOT SAY YES,,,,,,,for example  as I was  instructed to by the individual who instructed me that he would cancel my yellow pages order ($ 599.99) after i spoke with another "QA" agent that he would contact me to  and answer all her questions with the answer YES

I was supposed to agree to canceling an order i never placed
why would i do that
one question asked about my billing address if that was the place to send a bill to and i said NO and the QA connection just hung up.

In the meantime I called yellopages.com at 800-821-8235, and the Consumer protection agency of NJ where i live who both agree this is a SCAM

PS yellow pages doesn't even have an acct for my phone #.

Just received SEVERAL calls in a matter of a few minutes from a man named "Victor Smith" supposedly the cancellation manager, who spoke with very broken English who was obviously from India.  Claims we enrolled in Yellow Pages in February of 2009 and they received a call from the owner requesting cancellation.  He recited our owners name and address and said they had to mail out the last invoice for $599.90 in order to cancel.  He also kept asking for my authorization to cancel and that he would have to transfer me so that I could receive my cancellation number and the customer service telephone number for our local district.  When I said I would have to ask the owner what was going on, he got a little excited and said if I didn't authorize the cancellation now, they would automatically renew our service.  Thankfully I type fast and found all these wonderful reviews.  I informed him that while we had been talking, I looked the number up on the internet and he was definately trying to scam us and I didn't appreciate it.  He kept denying it and insisting that a much larger bill would be mailed out for the renewal of our contract.  I just told him that I would be contacting the BBB and FTC and not to ever call us again.  I hung up and gave everyone in the office a note with the phone number so they could immediately hang up if we happen to receive another call.  Hopefully this scam dies down soon.

I received a call from this company from 347-418-0489 asking for a $599.00 payment on a yellow pages account we never had. They said they wanted a credit card to pay off the contract. I said I was not paying the bill. They said I would receive a payment notice within 20 days. I am reporting this scam to the authorities. Scammer

This call comes from "Yellow Pages On Line".  They scour Yellow Pages listings and then put them in an on-line yellow pages, which might actually exist.  They will then send you a bill for this service.  The bill will be quite high.  Their logo mimics the real Yellow Pages, and I'm sure it is paid now and then by companies who aren't paying attention.

Got a call from this number from a man with a heavy Indian accent.  He said he was from the Yellow Pages cancellation department and was cancelling our Ad per (then named an employee.)  He said it was being cancelled due to the new higher rate of $1400.  He then said he'd bill us for the last 2 years for $500.  I asked who signed the contract and he names someone associated with us but who was not here 2 years ago.  it told him that person did not sign our contracts and I need copies of signed contracts.  He said he would get that to me and hung up.  I told him several times we do not use the Yellow Pages.

I also received a call from this number from 2 different people with horribly generic American names with thick Indian accents (laughable) both claiming to be the Senior Managers. Funny I never set up anything with Yellow Pages and honestly, who uses yellow pages anymore with Google searches?

Churches BEWARE!!...A man by the man of Denzel Martin ID# 786, senior executive (sounds like man with a heavy Indian accent) from YELLOW PAGES, has been calling our church office saying that we must cancel our yellow pages account and that the church owes $599, and he also said that he spoke to our senior pastor and that our pastor had canceled. I asked him to give me hes number to have the right person call him back and he wouldn't..... SCAM don't give out any information!!!
