This just happened to us too. Please advise how to remove our company from their system.

This number just called me asked to verify my business address then asked how many employees i had last year then continued to ask if i was still the owner then hung up the phone before i could ask who it was. It was a female that called me.

This just happened to me moments ago.

The number 402-403-0068 just called me and asked my how many employees do I have I ask who was calling and hey hung up. Return call and it goes straight to a voice main

Same thing. Got a phone call from a very rude women, I confirmed my address, she caught me by surprise. I mean she already had it correct. Her name is Anetra or Anatra.

Wanted to know did I have anybody working for me and my address

Rude as well, Female caller, Funny they want all your business info but refuse to only give their co name as updating for chamber of commerce. Forever blocked this number.

Got a call from Angela at American Chamber of Commerce, asking the same info.  I had to ask twice who was on the other line before she told me.  Hung up immediately after asking all the same stuff everyone else is posting.

They called me asking if my business address was still the same (they had it). When I asked who was calling they said it was the Chamber of Commerce. I am going to report this to the Chamber of Commerce New Mexico.

Same story.  I asked why she was being elusive and she decided to hang up rather than be forthcoming with information.  Not ok.  Scam averted.

I keep getting a call from these folks, I dont know who they are phishing for: They dont leave messages

Got a from this number by someone claiming to be fro the Chamber of Commerce, they asked questions about people in the company - I asked why they wanted to know, they hung up.

They called and asked for our address, without even telling me who they were with. Woman seemed pretty annoyed I asked her who she was with and even more annoyed when I asked questions to verify because clearly it's suspicious a supposed "Chamber of commerce" person is calling from out of state. I figured it was a scam so I hung up on them. One quick google searched proved my theory was right :)

Someone called me with my address asking me to confirm it. Then he asked if I was the owner and I said yes. Then he just hung up.
Creepy! Who can I report this to?

I got the call from 402-403-0068 on March 3rd at 1159 AM Eastern Standard time.  It showed up as Omaha NE.  We are on the east coast.  They had my name but when they went to confirm the company information and address I asked who they were before I answered.  I got the same American Chamber of Commerce.  I challenged her with which State and she gave the same answer.  I challenged her further and she ended the call.

weird number calling from "America Chamers", call back number is invalid, he was very rude, and wanted too much personal information.

   The Yates County District Attorney's Office, assisted by the Yates County Chamber of Commerce, issued a consumer alert today regarding recent telephone solicitations of County businesses.

   Businesses are being asked to provide information to update their listing in the Chamber of Commerce directory. The call is coming from a call center with the telephone number 402-509-5055. The caller will identify himself as being with the Chamber of Commerce and when pressed, he will say that he is with the American Chamber of Commerce, which does not exist. It is unknown what the caller will use the collected information for.

   When contacted about the solicitation, Yates County District Attorney Valerie Gardner stated, "Unfortunately, scams preying on the vulnerable are present in today's society.

   All Yates County residents should use caution when dealing with unknown persons or entities. Please be sure to report any suspicious activity and remember to verify before giving out any personal information or funds. Be alert and remind your friends and neighbors to do the same."

   According to Mike Linehan, president and CEO of the Yates County Chamber of Commerce, businesses and consumers should be wary of any telephone solicitation.

   "One call to your local Chamber of Commerce (315-536-3111) can verify any solicitation that you receive, either face to face or over the telephone", said Linehan. He suggests that residents should always try to do business with local firms, check references, obtain a certificate of insurance and inquire if the business is a member of the Chamber of Commerce.

   Gardner and Linehan urged local business owners and consumers to check with the Yates County Chamber of Commerce before entering into any agreement with an unknown solicitor. Gardner also noted, "Citizens should be aware of this important issue and any suspected fraud should immediately be reported to law enforcement."

State agency in San Jose, CA, received phone call this afternoon from American Chamber of Commerce.  She had the name of one of our Supervisors I refused to give her more information.

Wanted my address and other info...  Said they were chamber of commerce but the area code was calling from across the country???  omaha , NE.  When I questioned them they hung up!!
