I never answer because I googled it when it showed up on my caller id and realized it is not legit.

Answered phone. Nobody said anything and hung up.

Received a call from this number.  Without self-identifying, a woman proceeded to ask a series of questions to confirm our agency address and director's information.  When asked who they were, the woman gave her first name and said she was calling from the Chamber of Commerce.  I asked which one (we are members of a local chamber), and she said, "American."  That seemed suspicious.  She was calling from a Nebraska number and my state is not in the same region as Nebraska, and a different office is over my state.

A few minutes later I called the number back and a man answered and stumbled saying that he didn't intentionally dial my number.

I think they are collecting addresses and phone number and names for marketing purposes: after i started receiving 6 phones per day recorded messages press one and press two and i cannot stop this annoying. I think they sell the listing to marketers and cold callers and this is not legal because law forbids to keep private information on people for protecting privacy but furthermore to protect from identity theft and security. No chamber of commerce calls residential homes. Look at this list it is citizens not businesses. Do you think this is right? don't you think we should stop that?

Yes.  This is what happened to me today on April 1st.  The man said he was from the American Chamber of Commerce. He asked about my business and asked who he was with and then he hung up.

The man that called said he was from American Chamber of Commerce after I had asked who he was with.  He asked me about my business and I gave him no information.  But when I asked him why someone from Omaha, NE was calling he hung up. Scammer!

When I answered he asked, "Is this XYZ Business?".  I replied Yes.  He then asked, "Are you still located at 1234 Road?".  I replied Yes.  The he asked, "And who is listed as the current owner?".  That's when I said, "I'm sorry, what is this in regards to?".  He said, "Oh, I'm sorry ma'am.  I'm just updating your records with the American Chamber of Commerce".  Then I replied with, "But there's no such thing as The American Chamber of Commerce", and he hung up.

A rude lady from the phone number (402)403-0068 called me today.  She asked for manager, owner, company name, and address.  I need to know what America Charmber Comerce is.

I tired to ignore call after call from 402-403-0068 (up to three times a day-hint, hint) but finally answered, hoping to stop the harrassment.  They wanted to update my business info. I asked who was calling and he replied The American Chamber of Commerce. Some Chamber! They called on a non-business line! I contacted my local chamber and we visited Whocallsme.com. and discovered this is a SCAM! There is no American Chamber of Commerce.

Her, "Is this (name of my company)?"
Me, "yes"
Her, "Do you do XYZ type of work?"
Me, "yes"
Then she hangs up.

Wish I knew the address, I'd go knock on their door.  I live here in the 402 area.

The idiot who called pronounced IT as the word "it"  Right there I knew I was dealing with a loser and after asking 3 times who was calling and she ignored me while continuing to ask questions when I was speaking, I hung up and blocked that number for eternity.

just received the same call as everyone else ... 11:33am ... very unprofessional young man was asking me about my business - said he was updating files ... first he pronounced the name of my business incorrectly ... then asked about my address ... i asked 'who is this' and he mumbled something the Americn Chamer of Commerce - called from Bellevue Nebraska

got a call from this number and they immediately started asking questions without telling me who they were or where they were from. when i asked they said they were from the chamber of commerce and they were updating my info. i just hung up on them.

I got a call today asKing for confirmation on company, address, and manager name. I called my manager and she said she worked at a Dr office and had this happen once. They bill you for a Google listing or something like that but it is illegal and you don't have to pay. Just look out if you did provide info or if you get a bill!

Same as all of the above. Caller does not identify herself. Asked if name of business is: xyz, address = 1234 road. Then asks the name of the owner. I ask who she is and she persists to ask the name of the owner. She finally states that she is calling from the American Chamber of Commerce.  Once she realizes that I am not going to give it to her, she says she will call back. Then she hangs up.

Just got a call today, to confirm our address and business owner, pretending to be from American Chambers of Commerce.When told her to email or fax proof regarding the company, she just say I understand and hang up the phone
