Had $100 deducted from my bank accoutn to a *DMILLER INC. i called the number listed by the transaction which was 402-935-7733. It was PayPal. They said someone had stolen my card info and used it on PayPal. They also stated they were aware it was fraud. Why they let it go through is beyond me. Spent hours on the phone with my bank trying to get my $100. Not counting on it though.

who is this #? they said they would return my money that I never-ever have account with paypal? And they deduct it from my bank account.It has been days...they said it only take 24-48 hours to credit my money to the bank. What company paypal is this?

I got my mom an Amex card so she could get gas. There were 5 calls to "Paypal *Skype* totaling $13.52 each and one for Paypal *Coffee Games* in the amount of $5.71 charged to her card. I called Amex, and told them that #1, my mom doesn't even know how to turn a computer on, let alone make charges to whatever those things are, and #2, I AM computer literate, but I have enough redit cards to use without trying to slip through on one in her name. I don't even know what those things are...

An Interesting note, however...Amex didn't make me dispute the charges or anything. They immediately credited back all the charges, canceled the card, and are issuing a new one. So what does this mean? I think it means that there's a fradulent company out there, and that maybe they are aware of it.

This scam is still live and operating, called me on 02/13/09. You can thank VoIP technology for these people to generate a fake phone number. They surf your credit/debit transactions, and charge an old one back on.

I have a charge on my account for this number.  What should I do?

THIS IS THE NUMBER FOR PAYPAL.  YOU CAN CALL AND CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS NUMBER.  I GOT DEBITS ON MY BANK ACCOUNT FROM PAYPAL WITH A DESCRIPTION OF FOLDING COT THAT I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT SO I CALLED THEM.  TURNS OUT IT WAS A VENDOR THAT I BOUGHT SOME CLOTHING FROM AND HE CHOSE TO USE "FOLDING COT" AS THE ITEM DESCRIPTION.  BUT I KNOW WHO IT IS NOW AND UNDERSTAND THE PHONE NUMBER AS BEING PAYPAL.

I just had five $100 fraudulent charges made on my credit card with Paypal *Offerpal and this phone number listed.  I had to close the account and the bank is currently investigating.

I recieved a charge on my visa bill that stated, "PAYPAL LINSMART"  This is not a legitimate charge

i saw an unusual charge on my card from a strange business in california.  it was itemized on my bank statement the same way as everyone else.  i checked into it, and found that it was a purchase i made through paypal.  although the person i purchased from was in ny, i don't know why it posted for a business in cali.  but it was not fraudelent in my case.

Was checking my account and this was included in my pending transactions. Googled the number and came here.  How is this still going on? On the first page  on this number it goes back to beginning of 2008. Never received a call from the number.  I do however get 1-2 calls a day saying my warranty is expired, so anytime I get a call from an area code I don't recognize I don't answer it.  I have a GoPhone and it's 10 cents every time i pick up those calls. Doubt they're related though.

Paypal number? however no message was left...

I got charged in December 2008 by Paypal *Gameliquid 402-935-7733 for $49.24 and have no clue what that was for. The phone number is probably a legit one from Paypal but does anyone know anything about Gameliquid?

called it, gave them some info, and said they would trasnfer, and then *click* - cut off. SUSPICIOUS - need to reset all my passwords in case.

Got the same email as above - twice.  I forwarded it to spoof@paypal.com - waiting for a reply.

Would like to know if anymore info is available, ordered something online and never receivedit, think I used paypal, is there a paypal transaction history I can look at that would give me morE INFO ABOUT PURCHASES..

This number shows u on Ax bill on card I haven't used for over a year.

Says Paypal Skype , definaately fraud.

Just got my Amex statement and saw 14 charges for about $150 using the telephone number indicated here. Amex credited back each of the charges on the statement. No one ever called me

The call was to notify me that I had a negative amount into my paypal account and needed to be paid.

I went to paypal.com and yes there was a negative amount that paypal paid to my phone company on their own and I had to pay paypal back.

It is a legit number.

And yes the charge shows up as "PAYPAL 4029357733 NE"

Noticed a fraudlent charge this morning in my online banking statement. When I did a search for the phone number, I found dozens of results that were just like these; complaints about fraudulent charges. I think the phone number is legit, but the scammer found a (clever) way to list the charge by using PayPal's phone number to make the charge seem credible. Here's how it looked:

I had a $49.95 charge for an anime site called Aniload, and I would never pay for anime! I checked my PayPal account, they have no record of this transaction.
In summary, I think this is a scam that is completely outside of PayPal's jursidiction. The scammer found a way to make the charged look real, and it's not PayPal's fault. This is the 4th time in a year I've had my account hacked by charges like this.

I've received this call a few times, and because i couldn't identify the caller i never answered the phone.  Now i'm reading all these comments about it, i'll be phoning the number back.  I do not have a paypal account, so thanks for the 'heads-up' on this phone number.
