Asked a friend about the number he says it is a calling card u get in jail he is in jail and just called from the number didnt know who it was so we looked on here but he is from Missouri

i know of the person calling me from this number and he currently housed in a jail in Kansas City, MO so this has to be a phone service that handles these calls for people that is in jail and jails phones are connected to that service carrier. Just assuming that is how it works. I actually call to make sure the person that was calling me from this number was still in a Kansas City,MO jail and he is.

I received a phone call from this number at 6:17 MT stating that it was an operator with a collect call from Carbon County Jail. The recording was a female that said "If you love me, please press one."

I have reading all the comments about this number and it doesn't make since I got the call and didn't answer cause i heard about this scam a whil ago but then i remembered my lil sister was in county jail(MO) so when the number came through again i answered and it was her. how can this same number be legit and a scam at the same time?

Called the compliance center at our phone company to try to stop the calls or to have them blocked.  I was told that it is from a prison and there is no way to block the phone calls because they are from prison pay phones and no way to identify which phone.  Was told to Not accept any call and others have found that eventually calls stop.

this number is from the Paldine Youth Facility (spelling?) My ex bf who is a total punk keeps calling me from there.

I just got few calls from it but each time i missed them. i wish i didnt because i do have a friend in there but its too late as you cant even call it back. its not a scam its just a jail phone line.

It is not a scam, It is a company that provides collect calls from county jails.

It is a company that provides collect calls from correctional facilities and/or county jails.  However, inmates are and have been running scams from these phones for months/years.  I work in the legal field and have received several phone calls from this number within the past three days.  Police and my local telephone company advised that I should NOT accept a collect telephone call from this number under ANY circumstance, and I do have children are old enough and could possibly go to jail.  I understand about being worried about relatives that could be in jail, but these scammers are good at what they do and they are waiting to prey on people who are in this state of mind.

I got the call yesterday & the person that called said their name so fast that I couldn't understand it & the recording that accompanies the call wasn't clear to know who or where the call was coming from.  I have a friend that was in the Illinois prison system & is now in a half-way house.  So I don't know.......

Missed a call from this number at 8:27 p.m. CST Feb 9, 2009 on my cellular phone and there was a voice mail. The recording must have started as soon as the voice mail picked up because the beginning, including the inmates name was cut off. At 9:20 p.m., answered a call from the same number: the recording said it was from the "South Texas I.S.S.". The inmate's name was unintelligible, but was a deep male voice that didn't sound like anybody I know. I pressed "2" to reject and the recording said "Rejected - I will tell the inmate" and hung up.

I looked up "South Texas I.S.S." and nothing relevant came up. Then I looked up the phone number and found this page and posted the details. I'll post again if anything else happens.

Got a call about an inmate wanting to talk to me "Hey, Baby, pick this up".  Yikes!  Now I'm banned from answering by my husband.

i have to ask does anybody really know where this facility is? cuz my boyfriend is calling from this number but i dnt kno where he is now.... its 402-978-7565... thanks

I received a call from this phone number today 3/22/10 at my place of business. It was a recorded message from a Police Officer about some kind of family emergency or something to that effect. I have been told by my boss to hang up on all recorded messages so that is what I did. (So I didn't hear what the entire message was).

Our phone company told us to dial 73# and it would remove the forward.

A relative of mine is in Newton County Correctional Facility and I get calls from 4029787565 asking me to accept a collect call but before I can answer it hangs up. I would accept the call from the relative but why does it always hang up before I can say yes or hit any button? I am concerned it might be some type of scam.  The ID says Accurate Communications

I think it is fro Newton County Correctional Facility near Dayton, Texas.

I received an automated call today saying the call was private call from an attorney and did I want to accept this call as a collect call, ignore the call, answer the call or block the call.
