This is fraud- do not give them any information. It is an attempt to collect your credit card info.

Call from this number. Foreign accent female asked for my checking account number which I pay to Citibank to "verify" my identity. I stop using the big banks. They are led by billionaires who hire cheap coolies.  No one is trained. Lots of criminal fraud at big banks.  Use only local credit unions. Everybody in the wold seems to a lying, cheating, stealing human animal. Might give up phones, too. Hope tsunamis, typhoons, earthquakes, volcanos destroy most of the subhuman POOPulation.

Woman with an Indian accent called me past 8pm and asked for my dad to report fraudulent activity on my parents’ Best Buy card... which has never been linked to my personal cell phone number that was called, because I’ve never been an authorized user on that card. After I told her it was my parents’ card and I don’t live with them, she gave me a reference ID and told me to tell my dad to call the number on the back of my card. So with that... not sure if it’s a scam or not, but a little weird either way.

I received a phone call from this number saying they were the fraud department for our Best Buy card. I initially thought it was a scam, however it was NOT. They left a message telling us to call the number on the back of our card with a reference number, we did and it turns out someone was trying to make fraudulent charges on our account. Definitely look into your account if you get a call and make sure everything is okay.

Received a call Citi Bank Fraud Department asking me to verify recent activity on my account.   They provide a different number for call back.   Since I don't have any Citi accounts, this does not appear to be a valid call.

I had a voicemail today from the same number. The person stated they were from Citibank security investigations in regards to recent charges placed on the account. They asked that I call back at 866.422-7479 and hours between 7am to 11pm CST. They ended the message with a courteous "thank you for choosing Citibank and have a great day". I never called back and a few hours later I bought a product from Amazon and it went through on an actual Citibank credit card I own. I blocked the caller's number on my phone.

I didn't bother to call the woman back. Instead, I called Citibank and they confirmed they are not trying to reach me.

This is from Citibank's fraud detection center. They left a call back number of 866-534-0349. The call back number is a real number for that department. I know this from my contact list. We had a home depot card stolen and I have talked to them in the past. However, unless you have been a victim of fraud and contacted them first, you should not give out any information.

It is a real number for citibank. That doesn't mean that it was them calling though. Numbers can be impersonated. I recently got a call from "The Medical Center". I hung up and called the number that showed up on my caller ID and it turned out to be a cell phone of a guy who works in the same plant that I do.

Claims to be calling from Synchrony Bank. Only problem is when you ask them to prove it they say "I'm looking right at your account and I can see your transactions." Keep asking them to prove it, and they just keep claiming to be looking at your account, but won't prove it. Or if they will tell you recent transaction information-some is only partially correct, but mostly it's just wrong. Your best solution is to confirm you are who they are calling for, then only respond to them with "You can not prove you are calling from any company I do business with and I do not consent to being recorded."

Got a call from this number, did not answer it.  Checked on here for this number and saw other reports that it is from Citi Fraud Department.  Went online to check my account and it had been frozen.  There was a $0.47 cent charge attempted, followed by a $648.00 charge to PayPal that was declined.  The fraudster tried calling Citi to ask why the charge was declined  That is when Citi froze my account.  Called Citi and they verified the fraud and are sending out a new card.

Total scam. There _is_ fraud on my Citibank account. Citibank texted and called me and I called the number on the back of my card and dealt with it. (The account is now closed and I'm getting a new card.) THEN, I get a call from this number and they leave a message (as others have described) with a toll-free number I can call to give them my account info. Ha! Sorry, guys, I'm only going to call the number on the back of my card. Anything else is BS.

423-467-6460 called spoofing the DNIS digits to show a fake caller ID. Asked me to cover some charges right after I turned them into Citibank for false charges on my card. LOL-scumbags! Criminals are stupid! Called Citibank at 866-696-5673. After speaking with them, was told that they NEVER CALL TO DISCUSS FRAUD CHARGES WITH ANYONE. Do not forget that.
Key is that you call the bank to discuss fraud. Do not ever discuss fraud call from any inbound call!
