- Ingo replies to Yabo| 2 repliesI got several calls from this number +42-54069022 and +2063 971127. People with Indian accent that says they are from Microsoft. Don't speak to them, they are trying to fool you and copy your computer. Don't connect to internet and log in to their web site.
- KRCalled my work phone. Left no message.
- Caller: CNS MRK RC
- Call type: Telemarketer
- DEThis number calls between 5:00am and 6:30am on a regular basis. No one on the other end and after about 20 second a recoded voice says "Good-bye". Call Display says "Washington".
- unknownnone
- ValenciaGetting calls daily from different numbers saying they are Microsoft-this one called 8/16/2012 i just hung up on them.
- Tanydany1I also got a call from this number today, did not answer it, because I did not know who it was, but they did not leave a message. Clue number one: no message, must not know me...then I decided to look it up online and that is how I found out other's are also getting this same number showing up on caller Id. It read "CNS MRK RC' 1-425-406-9022. Glad I did not answer.
- Caller: CNS MRK RC
- waste of timeGot a call from this number. They are now running a tax scam. They said some non-sense like the US collected too much in taxes and we are one of the lucky ones to be selected for a grant for the refund money. (mkaes no sense). All we have to do is go to Western Union to pick up the money. And of course they want lots of our personal information in order to send it. lol. Forget about it Turkey!

- TigerWhen they mentioned windows I asked Windows 7 and they said yes, Microsoft Windows? Yes. I then said that I needed his name and home phone number because Microsoft asked me to report illegal references to their name. They hung up right away. Some kind of scam from the scum.
- kennygirl replies to Aprilthe National Do Not Call list is a joke. I've registered twice and the calls still keep coming. There is apparently even an 'expiry date'...so unless you know when you registered and know when it expires so you can register again...they are gonna start calling you again anyway...I'm not even sure if it does any good to call the CRTC and complain.
- Denikathis number has been calling non stop over the last week or two and when I answer I can hear someone on the other end but they are not responding.
- HeatherI just received a call from this number. A man with a foreign to Canada accent told me that he was from windows service centre. I asked what his call was in regards to as many of my colleagues have previously received phone calls from this scam. I played with him and told him that I didn't know about "windows" and he told me to go out to my swimming pool, dive in and die because I was dumb. I pretended to freak out on him and the conversation ended abruptly. :)
- MarshaReceived a call at 4:54 pm today, Saturday. Told the idiot on the other end, he called the beginning of the week. Said he was from Microsoft. When I told him he already called this week, he hung up.
I am going to report the number. I know they will just change it and there is no real way to stop them. They are suppose to remove your number when you ask but they just hang up on you.- Call type: Prank
- DorothyAnother idiot call. Do they really think that the majority of the people are stupid enough to believe them. They should be shut down.
- Concerned Citizen replies to IngoThere are too many of these calls. This firm seems to be able to have several numbers at their disposal. Thanks to Vonage and other companies offering Internet numbers that can place you in the country of your choice -- without long distance charges! I get calls from them from a number using my area code, and I live in a small city in Canada. Today the number used was 1-425-406-9022, but another number came up on my display as well: V91309550400003. You would think that with all this information someone would be able to find the place from which this firm operates in India, contact the local authorities, and have them arrested for impersonating Microsoft personnel in order to perpetrate a crime -- which is obviously to gain access to your personal information or to install a software for which we will be billed 'til the end of time with threats of ruining your credit rating by a collection agency! I simply don't answer the calls. I'm thinking that one day the auto-dialer will kick me off the list since I am such a bad customer.
- AnnoyedThey called and a foreign person said something about downloading something onto the computer and my grandpa couldn't understand him so he hung up on him and when he called the number back, it was an automated lady voice saying you could opt out of some telemarketing thing by entering the number they called, which was his house number.

- Kelly| 1 replyThis male with an Indian sounding accent called me from this number and asked for me by name. After I acknowledged that it was my name, he proceeded to tell me that my "Windows PC" was sending out errors when it went online. Then he asked me if I went online with my PC and if I was the main user of my PC (um...I have 5 PC's in my house). I told him that yes, I was the main user and yes, I went online with my PC, but that my PC ran Linux. He then confirmed that I said "Linux" and promptly told me that my problem was out of his hands. I told him that he didn't work for Microsoft and that I hope he gets busted before I hung up on him.
Now here's the strange part: I recently bought a downloadable version of Windows 7 Professional via the Microsoft store and this guy KNEW my name and my number. I remember getting a similar call around the same time I bought a version of Windows Professional for my entertainment PC. While I cannot say that somebody high up in Microsoft cleared these people to get this information, I am starting to wonder if someone down in the trenches isn't selling it. Possibly somebody working for the delivery company, Digital River.
REMEMBER: THIS IS A SCAM!! THEY ARE NOT GOING TO HELP YOU!!- Caller: "NOT IN SERVICE"
- MoGilbMy wife answered the phone, and their accent was so bad, she couldn't understand that they were asking for me...and that no one by that name lived here. (good job!)
However, I've gotten a call from this number several months ago and the guy with the terrible accent
insisted that I have a problem with my computer...when I asked him what kind of computer I had and
when "they" detected the problem, he couldn't tell me. I told him I have no problem with my computer; in fact that I am a computer repairman (believe me, I'm NOT), he finally hung up!- Caller: caller ID says: NOT IN SERVICE
- JenI just got a call from this number, caller id read "Not In Service" and the speaker on the other end sounded like a parrot.
- timmah replies to AprilI'm on that list ,it doesn't work
- scubagirlTHIS IS FRAUD!!!
Had two calls from these morons in two days. Same as everyone else is saying - someone with a difficult to understand accent called and said he was from Microsoft and there was a problem with our computer. "Really?" said my husband, the MCSE. "...and how would you know that?!" The second time, he wasn't so nice and resorted to some colourful language.
For anyone who's wondering, Phil (see below) is absolutely right. Microsoft does NOT have the time nor the interest to be phoning everyone in the world who may have a "problem" with their computer. Moreover, even if they did, they would not be able to see that there's anything wrong with your computer unless you purposely allowed them remote access. It's hard enough to get tech support from them when you contact them yourself! NEVER allow anyone that you haven't contacted yourself to have remote access to your computer.- Call type: Prank
