These fools keep hanging up.  They didn't speak or try to scam me to do something to my computer, but obviously they are not anyone you would bother to ever deal with.  Pond scum.......

Caller called, Indian accent was so heavy and thick I had to ask him to repeat himself.  He just said your Microsoft Computer.  He said it will be running slow and a long read script.  I said it is working fine and hung up.  I googled this number and found all this.  If any one calls asking for access to your computer it is a definite no.  Microsoft does not authorize these calls nor do they make them.  Scam Scam Scam...if there is something wrong with your computer, you need to call a computer consultant!

Got a call from 425-406-9022 - it said on the id "Not a Working Number."  There was no way I'd answer that!

Of course its a scam. But people are blowing a golden opportunity for revenge....
Go along with them as far as sitting down at your computer and then let your mind be your guide....
Imagine the fun as you play the role of a completely inept and clueless computer nerd who misunderstands every instruction, keeps 'supposedly' pushing the wrong keys and continually get a blue screen or your computer locks up and you have to keep rebooting it....
What fun; don't forget - all the while you're doing this, keep muttering unintelligible comments about damned computers that have problems and don't do what you want....
We should start a pool and put in a buck each; whom ever keeps the idiots on the phone the longest, wins!

When you get a lemon........ why not make  lemonade
    Cheers :)

I live in Sweden and got a call from this number.

Someone who said his name was David (speaking English), started rambling on about me having computer problems and wanted me to go to my computer so that he could help me.

I kind of just hung up. I'd advice anyone else who gets a call from this number not to answer.

this came up on caller ID as not in service .   it was the same scam about something being wrong with my PC.  When i dialed to remove from the list the message is that it is not in sevice and the warning beep tells me this is a huge scam.  If they are able to spoof phone numbers it  is pretty well hidden

    Phishing from India
Female indian accent from some generic IT company, knew my last name. Said my Windows computer had internet threat. Led me thru (Start button)(My Computer)right click(Manage)(system tools)(event viewer) asked what I see. I decided my playing with her had gone far enough and changed the conversation. Got quick hangup. I do not know what they were phishing for but it would not have turned out well.

I just got off the phone with these scammers.  The first call was from 971-217-9414.  A fellow with a bad accent told me that they were getting lots of error messages from my computer (Microsoft windows) and it was slowing my emails and internet activity down.  Apparently, some 'hackers' were trying to use my ip address in some nefarious way.  I listened to him babble on for a couple of minutes-- click here, do this, blah blah blah. I hung up.  A minute later he calls back from 425-406-9022 saying sorry we were cut off.  I listened to him for minute, told him I was too busy for this now, and hung up.  Immediately after this, a private # appeared-- him again.  I loudly told him I knew this was a scam and I would report him to the police.  Of course, he denied that he was a scammer.  I hung up.  No more calls back.

Idiot!!  So, yes, these two #s are connected-- 971-217-9514 and 425-406-9022.  And by the way, I have an apple computer.

This is an absolute scam! Do NOT give controls to anyone that calls. They hack into your computer, steal your information, then set up pre-paid gift and credit cards in your name and ssn, and pocket the money. They also like to steal people's soc security checks and tax refunds. If you have given any information out, contact the Police dept ASAP. If they call you, get as much info about the company as you can, then call the police!

got a call from this number this morning. With a bad accent the caller told me he was from Microsoft and that there was a problem with my windows installation. We are MS Partners so I asked for a call back number he gave me 901-280-7209 or 7201 and then I asked him why this was not the number shown on my caller ID (425-406-9022). I hung up and the numbers he gave me are not valid.

I received a call today (4/29/13) at 3:55PM.  The caller ID read "NOT IN SERVICE" so I answered it out of curiosity.  A man with a heavy accent told me he was from Microsoft and he was calling me about a problem with my computer.  That is when I hung up.  I don't have a Microsoft computer I have an Apple iMac and an iPad.  I knew it was probably a scam at that point.
