I am getting these alot. My caller I.D. states it is Marketing Fraud calling!
They hit that one on the head!!!!

BEWARE -  this is another scam!  Block number.  I just received a call from this number.  Person will say it is about your computer.   Also, there is a second number   (V08160954130004) disguised.   I understand there are other similar numbers.

Yes, I had the same thing and also called back the number. A phone company message that the number was HIGH JACKED and was crooked.

Received a call from this number. My wife answered and turned on the computer as he said he was from Microsoft. When my son told me about this, I took the phone and started asking questions such as "Give me the number so I can call Microsoft directly." He then started saying that they would never take my call as they do not do this! Hello? I hung up and shut down my computer.

Got a call from this number at 6:45 am! Yes that is am, who calls that early in the morning?  I don't answer the phone before 7 unless it is family. The best we ever did was get call display.

Same with me. This is now the 5th time I have received a call like this, either on my mobile phone or home phone. I'm afraid that now I get annoyed and say some rather nasty things to them! Nothin but a scam as usual

Number called me today. When I recalled the number it came back to recording saying this number is a rogue number from a business that is now defunct and person that called you from the number is committing marketing fraud. Interesting

je suis du Québec, Canada et je viens de recevoir un appel du 425-406-9022.  Il m'a semblé être Indien (Inde) d'après son accent et me dit que mon computer a un problème.  Je lui répond en français et il me demande si je parle anglais.  Je lui dit Non et que mon computer is okay.  Je lui dis dans un anglais approximatif que mon fils monte et vend des ordinateurs et fais du support technique.  Il me dit Ah I think your computer is okay.  Yes.  

Although I have caller ID, sometimes I just get tired of the calls that keep coming from someone and answer.  A lot of times it's charities and I just ask to be taken off their list.  Like the others reported, guy had heavy Indian accent, hard to understand, said my computer had something worse than a virus and wanted me to turn on my computer.  I demanded to speak to his manager.  He started the same spiel.  I demanded a phone number to call him back (nm that I already had it) and he hung up on me.
And incidently, the no call list does work to a point.  If a company is legit, all you have to do is tell them you're on the no call list and you'll report them for harassment if they call you back.  Be careful of website agreements.  Some are beginning to add that they are permitted to call you no matter if you're on the NCL and that third parties associated with them are allowed to call you.  If you hit 'I agree' without glancing over it, you just screwed yourself.

got a call from 425.406.9022 that my caller id even labeled as marketing fraud.  i answered just for grins.  a heavily accented male told me he was from microsoft and that my computer was putting error messages on the internet.  he told me to press that key with a flag on it while i pressed the r key.  i told him to [***] and hung up on him.  within 30 seconds, i got a call from 206.397.1127.  it was the same guy and he was angry.  "why did you hang up on me?"  i told him i wasn't going to give control of my computer to him and to get the heck off of my phone.  then i hung up again.  hope they leave me alone now.

When the caller speaks to me--I answer in Navajo, which is an indigenous language.  haha!  No response from the caller.  They hang up--always.
