Just got a cal from 425-406-9022 And they hung up when I answered the phone.and after reading all these complaints, I decided to call back. Some American person answered the phone and I said I was returning a call that I just got. She told me that it wasnt from that number, that was a hospital. So they must be putting fake number out on the caller ID. My ID said NOT IN SERVICE.

Very rude person informing me that he was calling about an issue I had with Windows. I know it is a scam and told him. That just made him ruder. I would love to have the address of this company.

I just got a call too!  Exact same type of crap!   Good thing was I started telling this Indian guy that I was holding him responsible for anything that goes wrong with my PC if I do what he told me to do.  Of course I didn't do as he said as I've gotten this call before!  Wish someone could BUST this guy!

I too have calls from a guy with an India accent (also from Microsoft) who 'was going to help me with my computor'.  I didn't fall for it either and hope no one else does.

This number calls 4-5 times a day.
I answer with "No Hable Espanol' --- seems to confuse them and they hang up
Have not been able to get rid of it/them.

I've had this exact same number, but calling about Payment Protection Insurance - something I've never been mis-sold anyway. Told them to stop bothering me - the guy said it was the first time he had called me, so I said he was the "umpteenth" (British slang for "not the first, lost count") to call me about it. That resulted in a hangup. It won't get through again.

This Indian scammer successfully conned my unknowing father out of hundreds of dollars for bogus "online repairs."  I wish he could be stopped.  I believe preying on innocent victims like that is evil.   We reported him then.  I can't believe he is (they are) still doing it.  I just received the same call saying he has detected problems with my "Windows."   I have a MAC.

This phone number belongs to scamming artists: they pretend to be calling from Microsoft, telling you that there is a problem with your computer, offering you to help out and asking you to download programs. The programs then turns over full access to your computer, and as such, gives the scammers complete control over your personal information and IP address. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM - MICROSOFT DOES NOT KNOW YOUR PHONE NUMBER, AND THEY DO NOT MAKE HOUSE CALLS LIKE THIS.

Got a call from this number at 5PM PST.
    Is this Mrs.........?
    "Yes".
In a very heavy accent I thought was Scandinavian (!!), she  said:
"I believe there is a problem with you Computer Operating System, Okay?"

I hung up.  Researched the caller ID number, and got this blog.
    What a farce.

Same here, called 5 minutes ago by fellow with heavy Indian Accent wanting me to turn over my computer to him so he could check for infections. Previously these scammers where calling from an Island somewhere off the central and west African coast in the Atlantic. My wife works for Sweden's Telia phone company and that is where she traced it. Now they have a north america number ? Isn't internet telphony wonderful ? A scammer can be located anywhere now, even mobile.

I've been called from this number twice this week. The first time a person with an indian accent said that somebody used my computer unauthorised. Today, the second call, in (to me) good english, the person asked me to confirm my family name (which he knew). Both times they said to work for microsoft.

Got a call from this number little while ago. A guy with a hard to understand accent told me he was with Microsoft and that I have a problem with my computer.  I told him i don't have one. He ask me, "you don't have a laptop or anything" I said, "nope".  Then he said something that i couldn't understand so I said, "pardon". He hung up.  I swear these idiots just won't give up.  My hubby called the number back. Apparently it's from a telemarketer and it's a US number.

I knew it was bogus and said that I couldn't believe that he was calling me at ten to midnight to scam me.  He said that if I thought it was a scam that I should hang up, but he did it before I could.
