I got 3 text from this number, telling me my steam confirmation code. I'm very confused, even don't know what's steam account. I didn't buy anything online recently.

To clear up some confusions about this ... I bank with Halifax and my partner uses lloyds ... I considered switching to lloyds recently because my partners account has a bigger overdraft and all around better deal . When I went in to lloyds to ask about switching I found out from the customer service rep that lloyds owns halifax ...  they bought it in 2009 ... google it ... also today after checking her online banking my partner discovered 2 charges to a cab company that she had not used(card not used ) and recieved a message from this nr about a £50 charge to just eat ... if you don't trust this nr call your bank on a secure nr .... Don't ignore the warning though !!!

They were claiming to be halifax

Text message received advising me that a school pupil had been approached by a male and all pupils had been advised to take precautions after contacting the school I have been advised that this is a hoax

I had the same thing and was genuine

I got a message from this number asking if I had made a transaction and to reply yes or no. I replied as I was making the transaction. After reading these I panicked and thought it was fraud, I contacted Lloyds bank straight away and they told me I had done the right thing.

Someone selling used car in UAE, is using this number and scottish lady picture on whatsApp . This the message:Let me explain how everything works:

You will have to make the payment to Amazon. The vehicle will be delivered in 8 or 9 days. From the moment it arrives at your

door, you will have 5 days to test and inspect it. If it doesn’t match my description or if you find anything wrong with it, Amazon

will refund your money is same day and I will be in charge of the return shipping fee. They will hold the money until you confirm

that the vehicle is as expected.

This way we are both protected. I am sure that you have the funds to buy it and you can verify that the vehicle in perfect

condition knowing that a 3rd party has the payment secured.

The agent that delivery you the car will sign instead of me because I will give him the rights. Will also help you register the car

on your name.
Please let me know if you have the money ready so we can continue.

I got a text off this number claiming to be Vanquis bank wanting me to reply with how much I can pay

I've had the same message but mine is from bank of Scotland, some people saying it's a scam and others saying it's genuine, I'll ignore it for now because my bank calls u to tell u they don't text u.  If the moneybags does come out of my bank I'll let u am know

I received this message about 5 minutes ago saying /Lloyds Bank has noticed your debit card ending 8314 was used online on 07-10-2016 20:23:00, at Autotrader.co. uk for £36.95. This payment has not been debited from your account. Please confirm if this transaction was made by you by replying Yes or No. Replying with Yes will NOT cause the payment to debit your account. ..... I didn't think it was real due to me not having a car and checked my bank and no money had been taken out.

Got a text from this number questioning my card use & asking for a reply. I rang Halifax to query it. They said it was legit.

Got a text from Hotpoint claiming to offer a free washer.

Got a number from +44 7860 035286 claiming to be tsb to tell me they had a seen an attempted payment of 79 pounds to imperiapalace and to reply yes or no is I recognised it I typed it on google and this came I wasn't sure so I called my bank and they confirmed the text was from them, best thing to do in this situation is to just directly call your bank

This is a genuine number although it was my own fault for getting a text like this. I half-expected this as i was making an online payment which had gone wrong a few times and so expected that i would get some sort of notification.  However my text said it was from bank of scotland while others say theybare from halifax and lloyds.

So now they want me to apply for a Basikloan (sic) ?

Had a text from them asking to return any unsold draw tickets. No name. Weird.

This number text me and all the message contained was my own phone number!

It is 100% genuinely Lloyds,  I just spoke to them and they confirmed someone had take 2 seperate transactions of £100 from my account!!

Number is 100% genuine. Lloyds fraud check.
