This is a Pushing number and you should not respond to any text you receive.  They claimed to be Tesco banking in my case.

Text me after i tried paying a bill online, claiming to be lloyds...
Asking me to confirm with replying yes/no
Looked dodgy so i ignored it!

Yeah I got the same thing today.

I had a text claiming to be from Lloyd's asking if I'd just made a transaction  using a debit card quoting four digits. When I replied no in panic, they said I'd receive a phone call in the morning.

Received a text claiming to be from Lloyds, had all the info about a recent online purchase - amount, date, time, company etc... Replied yes as thought it might actually be Lloyds. Since cancelled all my cards to be safe as checked with Lloyds and they knew nothing about it!

I had same number text me the exact same but told me they were halifax... Same number for both competing banks?

Definitely dodged number!!

I got Text saying they were Halifax and wanted me to verify a on-line payment I had tried to make, which I cancelled and did not complete as the value was way overstated.  Concerned the number was a basic mobile, so did not respond.

I just rang lloyds bank re this number as I was concerned it was fraudulent text message. They have confirmed it was them. 20 minutes on the phone but I wanted to be safe!

Also had the same type of text after trying to buy something online.
Halifax confirmed it was them

Halifax genuine and probably Lloyds use the same... after an online purchase at cashconverters

I've just had the same text off Halifax asking if I had made a payment to currys online I confirmed yes as my transaction was declined then got a text to say thank u for using Halifax fraud service

Can anyone verify this is Halifax/Lloyds protecting peoples online payments? Or is it a scam?

Similar text here, claiming to be Halifax and saying my card had been used for a dodgy-looking transaction. Glad this site's here to warn me off. I'm assuming the posts here claiming it's genuine are the scammers themselves...

Yip just had same thing but with this no +44 7860 035283 ... It said "Lloyds Bank has noticed your Debit card ending **75 was recently used on 02-11-2014 19:55:33, at CEA GOI 715 for £192.28. Please confirm if this transaction was made by you by replying Yes or No"

Naturally I ignored it.

Just though I'd give you the heads up 😉 do NOT fall for it!

The number is 100% genuine.  I had the same txt, ignored it and called Lloydstsb directly.  They confirmed the fraud.

How confusing.    You say it is genuine.   Then you say it is fraud.    Which, please?

Hi I've got one tonight about Tesco insurance trying to take £700 I googled the number and found this site and wasn't sure if it was genuine with the mixed comments but rang TSB and it was 100% genuine !!

Yes, I got it tonight and it was completely genuine. They investigate suspected fraud and somebody just tried to rip me off. Definitely a genuine number.

It's definitely genuine.
